This is a great dealership. The best deals in the state. This is my third bike and the second from Al and the gang. They are straight shooters and love their customers. Pros: ...

Horrible once you take your bike home 12/7/2009

First I bought a 2008 Honda Rubicon ATV which I was keeping at my parents home 500 miles away. This was my first ATV ever, after a little research I realized the wheels and tires that came with my bike we're not the correct ones and were from the cheaper, smaller model. I came and talked to Joe Gentle and he apologized and said he would replace them when his new inventory came in. I had my bike stolen but still wanted my wheels, he said no. According to him, he never ""guranteed"" me the wheels, he said he'd try so I got screwed. The only type of insurance I have was a vehicle replacement policy which meant I needed to buy another ATV from Al Lamb's in order to cash in, so I did. The salesman was so helpful and even gave me his cell to call him on his days off. Again I drive it to my parents home and realize that the bike was sputtering all over the place and wouldn't idle. I took it to the local Honda dealership and they said they didn't cover carbs and it would be 100 dollars to fix it. I call Joe Gentle and he says he can't do anything eventhough I never even got to drive the damn thing. He said it was my responsibilty to make sure it was working! The thing is that I noticed in the test drive and the sales guy took it to the back and got it ""fixed"". All they did was pull the choke knob out which I didn't notice. As soon as you push it in it dies. This is not a dealership, it is a stealership. Please stay away from here, I'm making it my personal goal to screw this place over like they screwed me over TWICE!!! Pros: Nice salesmen at first (aren't they all?) Cons: Horrible service AFTER the sale more

Unethical questions at Al Lamb 5/27/2008

This dealership was having a motorcycles sale, so I drove after a busy day's work, well away from my normal commute to check out some of the motorcycles. Provided I got a good deal, I was even ready to purchase one, if the price was right. When I asked one of the floor personnels if I could test drive one, he asked me how long I had my license. When I told him I was relatively a new licensee he told me that since it had rained, he would not allow me to ride one. In reality, it had stopped raining several hours earlier and the roads were dry. So this punk, had the audacity to question how long I had my license and then promptly reject my request for a ride.\r For potential riders, I recommend other dealerships. And if you must visit them, don't you let them ask you how long you have had a license. It's an unethical question. Imagine a car dealer asking you how long you had your license. more

Nicest folks I ever handed a check for $28,000... and everything went downhill from there... 2/5/2008

Purchased a new 2008 Goldwing with lots of accessories in October 2007... salesman was very congenial and helpful. Sales manager (Tom) was a bear. All questions asked were answered promptly by sales person. They called and said the bike was ready, so I got someone to go with me to get it... got there and there was about $1,000 in accessories purchased that were not installed... some fast talk came about, at the end of which the bike was taken back into the shop, and four hours later we left with it.\r Got it home and found there was no owner's manual with it... or any other manuals for the accessories purchased. Called back, and though miffed, they did send out the manuals... Then the real problems started... \r I had told the salesman I weighed 270 pounds, my wife weighted 150... and we liked to tour... was weight going to be a problem... I was assured the machine could handle us comfortably... yet the owner's manual states the maximum weight, including riders and luggage, that the bike can handle is 410#... We go over that without packing a shaving kit.\r Next thing was the service intervals... told valve adjustment was 100,000 miles... wrong again... try 36,000 miles... told it was easy to replace the air filter... according to the tech manual, it is a major undertaking.\r The bike is uncomfortable for my height and build... 6'3"" tall, 270 pounds... \r It is three months old and has 124 miles on it... because we can't use it for what it was purchased for... $28,000 cash down the tubes until I can figure out some way to trade it for something that will handle our requirements.\r I wouldn't recommend this dealer to anybody I know, and probably not to any enemies I have either. \r My mistake for this decade. Pros: They will answer any question you ask about a specific motorcycle... Cons: The answers they give may not be anywhere near factual regarding the specific bike you are asking about... more
