Support your independent record store 4/16/2006

Aka is competing with the likes of Tower and, in my opinion, they kick arse. Located in Olde City, this little joint is a real gem. If I am not able to find what I want, they are able to get it for me. They have a wide selection of new and used music and there is generally something cool playing while you shop. I have sold some cd's and they give a fair price -- store credit or cash. The prices are reasonable which is commendable for a non retail giant. more

I hate buying cds because they cost too much. However I am so glad I found this place. I really wanted the soundtrack to a movies called "Sparkle" I was having a hard time finding it or at a decent price. Well, of course they had it! And it was in very good condition it cost me 6.99! I m just so impressed because they just have so much of what t I like to listen to (old r&B). The store is not old and dusty it is very clean. They may not be as high tech as other stores but they have what you want. more

Every CD You ever Wanted 9/21/2005

This place is great. You can lose track of time browsing the used section. In fact, this place has possibly the pargest (and best) used selection in the city. New releases are abundant and you should be able to find any indie and mainstream cd your heart desires. more

Big local music store 8/18/2005

This place is quite large, two stories. It has a wide selection of records and CD's. They write comparable groups on the outside of the packaging, which makes finding new stuff a little easier... and has led me to regretted impulse buys. The prices are average and the staff is knowledgeable. more
