Very-very poor overall experience and 6/5/2012

Very-very poor overall experience and am still picking up the pieces. I purposely went to this store instead of Lowe's because I believe in supporting small business owners, I won't make that mistake again. I ordered a stackable washer and dryer. The sales person was helpful enough. The delivery was made on time and that is when the nightmare started. They completely scratched my hardwood (laminate) floors, which cannot be buffed out, so if I want to get it fixed, I have to redo the entire floor. They crashed into the hall closet, bending it off the slide, and now that needs to be replaced. They would not connect the ventillation claiming that because it went into the ceiling, they weren't allowed to do this, although upon further inspection after the fact, I noticed this was not the case, and they could have completed this task. Overall they delivery and installation guys were dreadful and complained the whole time. I called the store to report the incident to the store manager and he said he would do some investigating and call me back. That has not happened. Its a shame, I was trying to support the local guy and really ended up getting burned. Won't make that mistake again and next time will go to Lowe's or Home Depot. Terrible and the other reviews on here say the same. Stay away from Airs. more

Just Awful 4/6/2010

I ordered a Blue Star range top and a ventilation hood from Airs and nothing was right from the get-go. The salesman screwed up my transaction and rather than canceling it, I received an overdraft from the bank. The range top that I ordered came to them scratched and it took 2 weeks to get a new one to my home. The ventilation hood was completely busted even though the box was totally intact. I've been waiting for 3 weeks for a piece of trim for the cooktop because the first one was bent. It was supposed to be drop shipped to my home and I've yet to see it. The only thing going for the place is that they were the only ones carrying the stovetop I wanted, other than that nothing was right and the service sucked. When they say they'll call you back, they never do. I ordered all my things over two months ago and I'm still waiting. The contractor is a very patient man, but I'm no longer patient. Do not shop here. Pros: Carried Blue Star Ranges Cons: Customer Service sucked more

DO NOT SHOP HERE 4/10/2009

The customer servive here is awful. They are very rude and are not clear on delivery. They tell you to call teh day of for delivery times, and when you ask what time the delivery is going to be made, they yell at you. They also say there is no shipping costs involved, the price you see is the price you pay. That's interesting though, because $100 is tacked on for ""installation."" Cons: Customer Service is awful more

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE 1/7/2008

Aside from having a wide selection of merchandise to choose from, I find the quality of customer service that Airs Appliances extends to me as a customer is par excellence. I have been buying appliances from Airs since 1998. Prior to that time I was relying on the national chain stores for my major appliance purchases and found customer service lacking if not altogether non-existent. Try buying an appliance from these nationally recognized chains and getting it delivered and installed within 24 to 48 hours. With Airs, I can make my purchase, arrange for delivery and have installation within a time frame that makes my tenants happy. As a landlord, this is invaluable! From the store manager to the delivery men, everyone is professional and courteous. I'm so happy that Airs Appliances has remained in center city and I will continue to shop there where I can get the identical goods but excellent cusotmer service for the same price! Pros: EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH COMPETITIVE PRICING more

Just Go to Lowes 7/6/2007

Normally, I am an advocate of supporting local businesses, but given the utter lack of customer service I have received from Airs, I can not recommend them under any circumstances. Five months ago, I purchased a Fischer and Paykel double-drawer dishwasher from Airs Appliances. It was not installed correctly, and I am STILL waiting from them to correct the error. Sharon, Airs' customer service agent, has been courteous, and completely unhelpful. She has neglected to order parts, forgotten entire conversations, and in short, has allowed this relatively benign situation to drag on. At this point, I have gone directly to the manufacturer, but they can not even get Sharon to speak to them. If you do not think you will ever need customer service, by all means, support Airs, but I will not do so ever again. Pros: Local Cons: Terrible Customer Service more

REPLY TO ""JUST AWFUL"" 10/8/2006

Concerning the specifics of joerf48, the financial part of the transaction was screwed up because she used a debit card that had an insufficient amount to cover the 50% deposit. The debit card transaction was cancelled and a credit card was used. Unfortunately, banks will hold back money on debit cards for days before it is returned and available to be used. The transaction was resolved once the banks caught up with everything. The initial Range top was refused by the distributor (never got to us) and a rush order was sent to the factory to build another ASAP - Note: Special Order! The ventilation hood comes in a sealed box from the factory - it is opened at the client's home. Though the hood was received damaged, the piece was replaced within the week, and the contractor was free to use whatever parts of the damaged hood that he needed to keep the job on schedule. The Island trim may have arrived damaged from the distributor, but another well packed replacement was sent out to AIRS rather than the client, but that piece was in the client's hand within 24hours. \r Final point - everything has been completed, delivered and installed. With special orders like this one, AIRS Appliances is totally dependent on the manufacturer & distributor as to arrival time and state of packed/sealed appliances. We did all in power to get the order right and certainly hope joerf48 enjoys her completed kitchen.\r more

Worst customer service anywhere!!! 7/26/2006

Do not buy from this store- they have no return policy, even though the receipt states differently- I had the worst customer service experience of my life from none other than the owner!!! After spending 5000.00 on appliances, they ignored my calls when i had problem with the size one of the air conditioners i bought from them. finally the boss called back, said he would resolve it and call me back, and NEVER CALLED BACK! this is why people should just shop at home depot or lowes- they take returns no questions asked- more
