Got a flyer like the other reviewer. I wanted a furnace tune-up. VERY quick to come to home for tune-up. Service guy's name was Dean. Yes, my furnace was over 30 years old, was trying to put off for another year. Dean scared me into buying a new unit...I (by my own request) also got a new hot water heater, too. Lightning fast was signing papers, getting financed, AND installation...Sounds good so far, right?
Shortly after installation of furnace, brown gunk was flowing down the interior of my kitchen and basement chimney area. Called Airko...maybe something was not right with furnance? Again FAST turn-around for someone to call me about this..It was the owner himself Marco Manzie!!! WOW!! Marco said it sounded like creosite...that bad stuff that could burst into flames and destroy not only ones chimney but your home!
Marco came right out to my home and was really concerned (cough-cough) that I didn't have a chimney liner!! WHAT!? Airko guys NEVER said anything about that when they did my furnace.
I shelled out $2,400.00 for a stainless steel liner...guaranteed ro many, many years. Marco stated this would take care of the gunk problem...It did NOT! Brown gunk continues to flow...This will corrode my new furnance if not taken care of.
Called June 17, 2008...stated the problem, Georgia said Marco would be at my house the next day...RIGHT! No call, no show...6/18 same thing. 6/19 good old boy Dean showed up for 2 minutes, said someone needed to go on the roof and check it out...Never did...
It is now June 27, 2008 Airko ignores phone call, empty promises. Hey! Where's president Marco now?
I checked them out with the BBB...should have done that first...BBB Rating: UNSATISFACTORY
Airko does not respond to their customer concerns...AVOID them! I wish I would have checked them out first
Pros: Service is initally quick until they get your money.
Cons: Airko does not stand behind what they sell. They are nothing but money hungry cons!
