Air Conditioned Supper Club

I just checked out this place last night. I knew two separate girls having birthdays there. Anyways, I roll up with my girlfriend and there is a gigantic line. They have three extremely mean, unhelpful, total rude bouncers getting off on insane power trips patrolling the door. It reminded me of when you worked a minum wage job at 16, and suddenly the loser from your highschool some how becomes your manager, makes 7 dollars an hour, and all of the sudden they think they are hitler. Not only will they not check the list, accept a tip, or let any girls into the "club" (im using that term really losely-wait till you get to the rest of my review) but they yell and tell us to get into the back of the line. Anyways, we go to the back of the 40 minute, 35 person line. Oh and just to let you know, the line is 100 percent guys (and ladies this isnt good for you either, as every girl i know referred to the guys as "creepy" and "gross"). So both birthday girls come out, and they still wont let us in. So we wait for an eternity. And what did we wait for? All of that hastle for....a "club" with a)all guys b)horrible music c)expensive drinks and d)decor that makes the excalibur in las vegas look like the ritz carlton. I've been to a lot of acutal clubs and i can say with a straight face that this is the worst one ive ever been too. If someone said, "would you rather go to air conditioned or get punched in the face", id choose the later, just because it would be over quickly. So at this point your probably saying "its not supposed to be some super club, its supposed to be a bar with music where you can relax". To that I say, turn up the radio in your car, drink a bud light with a friend, and sit in a target parking lot. That would be about 10 times as fun as this place. I beg you all to please not go there. It will only encourage them, and that would be like encouraging evil. Oh also, it was unanimous, everyone said that the two birtday parties totally sucked. Pros: I only have to go there once in my life Cons: I never have to return to this place again, unless god sends me to hell more

I wanted to like this place. I really did. As a Venice local, I was excited for something to spice up the otherwise sleepy night life, but this place is unfortunately lame. The doormen were rude and didn't seem to know what was going on. The service was horrible. And the decor was pretty unfortunate-- no booths, a really sad excuse for a fireplace (fire on a projector).. and the DJ seemed nice but his spinning prompted not one person to dance during the entire time we were there. So, at the end of the day, this place could have good, but it's just not. more

I went to Air Conditioned and I gotta tell you how dissapointed I was with the service. We ordered our drinks twice and the waitress forgot our drink order twice......! Went to the bar and ordered the drinks ourselves. My other group of friends were able to get service but it took almost 20 mins to get their drinks..... The music was damn good and the crowd was good...... If only the service was better more

Finally a sophisticated nightclub venue on the Westside. The design is fun and intimate in a dark cozy future electro fashion way with a great stage. Keep an eye on some hot acts to play here. Pros: Cool atmoshere, intimate. more

As we all know the westside can be a a little sleepy, but the guys from AC bring it with their new club on Lincoln. AC is a great scene ---- great music and the only place to kick it late night. Pros: New, Location, People more

I have been dying to find a club that was cool, hip, but reserved. It feels like a hollywood club without all the attitude. The girls are hot and the guys are cool. I am not going anywhere else. pulling up to a/c you would never guess the gem that is inside! as soon as you walk in you will be happy you came! great decor and atomosphere! the people are a good mix from lai d back casual to trendy. I went during the first week it was open and was 100% pleased, I will be back again soon. the bartenders are friendly and the manager is great, haven't tried the food but I'm sure it's fantastic. now they have a dj on the weekends and I think wine tasting during the week! I've been going to the AC on Pico for awhile and I was utterly disappointed when I went to the new AC in venice. Slow bartenders, unfriendly to boot. Music was good, crowd was good. Staff is horrible. Pros: nice look Cons: bad bartenders more
