AimHi offers a defensive handgun course that is excellent. This was a 3 night course done over 3 consecutive nights, from 6-9 PM. The staff taught a great course - it was safe, fun and I learned some very valuable handgun skills. This a great course to take after your CCW class. more

Great experience! 9/25/2011

What a fantastic experience! A group of friends and I took the Ladies' class a few weeks back and it was great! I've never been shooting before and was very nervous. I didn't know what to expect and I was afraid of looking ""stupid"". The instructor did a phenomenal job of making me (and my friends) feel comfortable and at ease. The quality of instruction and level of expertise of the instructor was second to none. I was pleasantly surprised. I learned a lot more than I ever expected and I had a great time doing it. It was so much fun, I have actually signed my mom and sister-in-law up for the next class! Thanks to the wonderful staff! more

Great CCW Class and Indoor Range 9/18/2011

I have to say, this is a top notch indoor range. I have been to a lot of ranges and gun stores and this place is a place I am not afraid to take the family.\r \r The CCW class was great. The people in the class who had never shot were given lots of help and not made to feel stupid like some places. I also liked that we got to shoot a lot of different guns.\r \r Definitely a great place to shoot and buy guns if you live in the area. more

The best range I have ever been to -Gunstore Too! 4/21/2011

This guy before me MUST work for Blackwing. It is no where near as nice or friendly as AimHi. So you have to watch a safety video before you use the range. That is better than shooting with some of these idiots who think they know it all and then shoot a hole in the floor right next to you. \r \r This is a great place to shoot and they are rated the #1 training center in Ohio for a reason, plus if it was so bad why would so many police departments shoot there???\r \r As a senior citizen I wouldn't go anywhere else since they know my limitation and treat me and my daughter with respect. more

Way Overpriced handguns and range 1/8/2011

This place is way too expensive, they will fleece you on handgun prices and ammo, go to Vance Outdoors instead. They're so greedy, to get their prices down, they charge you to take a 30 minute class to use the range. Go to Blackwing, it may be far away but it is well worth it and also has a rifle range. more

Great range, staff, and classes 10/14/2010

I've been a member of this range for a few months now. The membership comes with some great benefits. The staff is professional and personable. I've just completed the CCW class and I can't imagine how any other CCW class could be better. I've been around guns all my life, but I learned a lot about Ohio concealed carry law, and even a few general things. more

Took the Concealed Carry Class 5/9/2010

Took the concealed carry class as a new shooter primarily for safety, unsure if I will actually get the concealed carry. The class was very informative and open. Got to shoot a variety of guns. Yes, there was a written test and range test, but everything was covered extensively and if someone fails those tests I'm sincerely hoping they never have a gun at all let alone a concealed carry permit. HIGHLY recommended 1/28/2009

I took a basic class there five years ago and recently decided to take the CCW class. I am not a ""regular"" in the gun world, but was able to feel very comfortable with all aspects of the class. I will definately be returning for classes in the future, as well as consulting them on ANY purchases that I decide to make in the future. Range and price 11/24/2008

This is very nice range to go and shoot at. You very seldom smell smoke or get a room full of smoke. The price is some what affordable to shoot there, but it beats buckeye outdoors range. Pros: price, range, and hardly a waiting line Cons: have to watch a saftey video befor you shoot, trust me buy the card.. more

Excellent CCW Training 11/5/2007

The classes were very helpful because they covered CC from a variety of angles. I've been hunting and shooting for 25 years and I still learned a few things about hand guns. Most valuable to me was Rich's take on the law. Not to be taken as legal advice, his perspective was still insightful and gave me a good understanding of what is required of a license holder. I highly recommend this class even if you are not considering carrying a concealed hand gun.\r \r The shooting portion of the class requires that you shoot a variety of hand guns at distances of 15 and 21 feet. If you can?t pass that portion of the exam and still acquire a license you might be a hazard to yourself and others. Pros: Free Coffee! Cons: Demo's can come off as a sales pitch. more

Great CCW Classes 10/31/2007

Don't get fooled. These guys have the best class in Ohio. They spend more time training than anyone. State Law DOES require a written test and a proficiency test. Read the law. If your instructor hasn't given you an exam you haven't legally passed the course and could both be liable in a shooting. I called and asked the guy who teaches there. He has been teaching for four years and only failed two people. I took the course there and have to tell you, if you failed the course you are not smart enough to carry a gun. I am making it a point of going back when I have to requalify. Pros: Give a great selection of guns to try in different calibers Cons: Would love to have shot more, but still shot more than at other CCW courses more

No to CCW Class 4/25/2007

Avoid this CCW class. This business gives a written test and shooting accuracy test, and they will fail you. These tests are not required by Ohio law and not required at other local CCW classes. Take it from me, I was brand new to shooting and failed the shooting test. more
