I put money down for a modular home Oct 1, 2017. I was told that it takes about 12 weeks from when they build the home, build the foundation and then crane house in, connect services after doing finishing touches for me to move in. They said if I picked one of the floor model it would only take 8 weeks. Kept saying over and over again before and after I signed paperwork I would be in for Christmas.
They didn't even put in foundation and walls till February. They parked the house in two pieces in my yard and just left it there. Due to their lack of supervison when basemant walls were put in and no one checking the work was right it wasn't till two months later that they saw that one of the walls was done wrong. They had to tear out the whole concrete wall to replace it. The house wasn't even put on foundation till May 2. The day they craned up house I videoed water pouring out of house. I asked if house was okay inside and they said yes. Next thing I know they ordered a dumpster and proceeded to dump materials from house. Water damaged and I knew it. Yet time and time when I asked if everything was fine they said yes. I finally told them I knew there was water damage. They finally admitted the house had severe water damage on one half and they had to gut it all out. I was on a lease that I already had to put multiple extension on. They kept giving me date after date when things would be done. Just for the dates to go by and nothing. Because they were adamant I would have house end of May I now longer asked for an extension. It is now June, house still not done, I'm not allowed on it and now I have to find a place to live even though I paid $150,000 for a house. Months of emails and now they don't even reply to my emails.
No customer service and when you pin one of them down they pass the blame to each other and even you. I'm about to be homeless and have to put my aquariums full of fishes in a barn with a generator to keep them alive.
