Hi everyone. I wanted to post a response to PDXGGN review, and the one below it. Yes it is true, some times when a business like mine desides to broaden it's work force by hiring contracted drivers that the business thinks is a good fit, that employee desides to drop the ball and make everyone look bad in the company! Let me just say that PDXGGN has no idea of what goes into operating a business such as mine! Lets forget that the driver is 63 Years old, just had a major surgery two months ago and has choosen to keep working so he can pay for his high medical expensives. Lets also forget that in the 20 years that my driver has been driving, that he has never left anyone stranded or fail to show up. Lets forget the fact that when my driver realized that he had over slept he did try to call the customer and the customer was unavailable. Lets forget the fact that when I entered my office that morning and had a message from my driver that he had screwed up and did not pick up the customer, that I personally had called this guy and expressed my apologies to him on how bad we all felt for our drivers mistake, and that we had offered him three free shuttles on our wallet and he refused it. It was only after that point that this man had told us that we were going to pay for his long term parking, his mileage, and his time that I the president of the company started to get a bit upset. But at no time did I ever explode or become rude and disrespectful to him. What I did do, is place him on hold for 50 seconds while I started the phone monitoring/recording system and called up our driver and got him on the same line to work this thing out peacefully. This guy started to become very disrespectful and out of control with his demands. If I could put that recording on this review response, you would hear how the truth of the situation went. First off, we are not a taxi company any more. We do not operate anything like a taxi business. We are a shuttle service. We only take reservations if the person has a valid credit card because to many times in the past the customers would not be on location them selves when the driver showed up. But we didn't go banging down their door and place bad reviews of them. We simply ate the cost of our fuel, loss of our wages, and moved on to the next reservation. Well this year we decided that if a customer wanted to use our services, they were going to need a valid credit card to place a reservation. By implementing this policy I was also putting the pressure of my drivers to be ""ON TIME"" every time short of an auto accident or death. Since we have made it policy, we have reduced our no call no shows, no cancellations down by 98%. This one time I gave in and took this guy's reservation with his credit card but did not charge it or hold any funds on it, but rather let him pay cash! So he and us were out no moneys. Which also brings me to one point to, Why wouldn't this guy call a cab to get to the airport? If he had to drive all the way to the airport, then find a long term parking space and then make his way on the parking shuttle bus, then to the security check point of the airport and he called and left his first message at 4:15am, that tells me that he had ample amount of time for my driver who called him at 4:45am to get to his residence and pick him up and get him to the airport with plenty of time to spare, I think his motives are less then honest. And in these economic hard times, it really does bring out the evil of some people who are only looking for alot of money they can scam out of a small business like mine with a free ride and a meal! It's clear to me that either this persons motives were less then honest, or he has never owned a business managing employees a day of his life! To hold the entire company responsible for one bad mistake of an employee is just wrong!
Pros: Exceptional service!
Cons: bogus reviews seem to pop up!
