Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center

I would like to speak on behalf of the Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center. We have never had a patient registered by the name of Joe C. Apparently this review is from someone who does not know how chemical peels work or how the business is run. We have been in business since 2001 and have done hundreds of chemical peels for our clients. As discussed by the physican below, since this product is designed to decrease brown pigment and smooth fine lines only, this product only penetrates the outmost layer of the skin and therefore is not strong enough to cause these horrible side effects. This information can easily be verified by the company (Skin Medica) directly on their website or by contacting their customer service department. Also, our staff is very professional and would NEVER ignore a patient's complaint,, and the doctor is always available for our patients. It is very unfortunate that our society allows people to write such slanderous statements without being accountable for untrue accusations that may potentially hurt innocent people and businesses. more

12/26/13 - In response to Teresa ""C"" - what's your last name? It's Coppa isn't it? You know exactly who I am. I spoke with you last year, panicked, terrified and BEGGING to see the doctor. Instead of medical attention, you insulted me by offering me a free peel. You said there was nothing you could do for me other than a free service. I suffered a permanent nerve injury from negligence at ALC. The vitalize peel can't penetrate the dermis. My doctor said the same thing. He said she had to have used something she wasn't licensed to use that was strong enough to penetrate the dermis, or the product was mixed with another product that's used at ALC in error. He also said he has never seen such gross negligence and senseless suffering. It sickens me that you are lying to the public about their safety. This is the exact response you gave me when I called and again I want to warn the public that if you suffer a medical emergency, you will NOT get ANY help from a doctor here. \r \r I am a wife, mother & grandmother who had a very happy, normal life. You can not imagine what it's like to have your life taken away and suffer horrific pain from a ""facial"". I miss being with my family and enjoying their company. I have been going to the Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center since they opened. I have had every part of my body lasered!!! The staff are so awesome, The Dr and his wife are very personable, yet professional, all who work there are very conscientious. The staff has always been kind and accommodating. I have nothing negative to say, so the previous comments by Joe, makes me believe that he may be speaking about a different agency, as his description, doesn’t match at all my experience with this top notch business! I have always been pleased with the services ALTC provides!!! The prices are far cheaper then many other businesses. They also have specials, including a special rate every birthday. This is in response to C.V. I'm concerned that a doctor of any kind would try to diagnose someone they have never examined. This is a genuine review from a real client who has suffered beyond imagination because of negligence that happened at this facility. Jenn had me come there several times under the pretense that I was going to see the doctor but he was never there when I arrived. She actually had an excuse everytime I arrived and even though she knew I was driving there in extreme pain, she didn't care at all. I had already seen my own doctor anyway because obviously, I had to. I was treated so terrible at the laser center. This place is nothing but a fraud. There is NEVER a doctor there even though they tell you there's a dx on the premisis at all times. God help anyone who has a problem here. They don't care. They just want your money. \r \r Let me clarify a bit. I have been to 9 different doctors including a neurologist at Boston Mass General that I waited over a year to see. I have damage to my trigeminal nerves due to a ""toxin"" in the chemical peel My nerves are actually burned and the tissue under my skin is disfigured due to a ""caustic acid"". You're right, this never should have happened. But the sad reality is IT DID. Trust me, I live it EVERY minute of every day. I have the right to warn people that their life can be taken by some bumbling idiot (these are the exact words of a neurosurgeon who actually did examine me!) ALL the doctors say the same thing. That it's absolutely inexcusable to have to endure chronic nonstop pain. Isn't that what the reviews are for? I would never want anyone to have to suffer at the hands of someone so unbelievably negligent. \r \r This is a HOUSE OF HORRORS~ I have suffered extreme nonstop pain from Jenn who gave me an x-tra deep peel of some kind when i was told i was going to have a superficial peel. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM HERE. The agony is still going strong after 1 1/2 years since the peel. \r \r I had the vitalize peel and was instructed by Jenn to leave it on all night because it was so mild that she wanted me to get the ""full"" benefit of the product. I woke up at 4 am with pain that I never knew existed. My entire head and neck felt like it was on fire. I had severe burning in my ears, eyes, nasal, mouth & throat. I ran to the shower and just held water on my face for 20 min intervals. I have been to so many doctors and been on so many medications. Nothing takes the pain away. I have NEVER been on medications in my life for any kind of pain other than an occasional Advil. I can no longer have any kind of enjoyment. Every aspect of my life has now changed. I can't remember what it's like to rest comfortably. I can no longer sleep other than out of pure exhaustion. I don't remember what it's like to not have pain. I struggle to do anything and everything now. From taking a shower to shopping to something as simple as making a meal. I still do all of these things and I still spend time with my family. I just do it with constant pain. My family has been through so much misery because of this women. My life is now all about pain management, medications, doctor visits and the constant distraction from the pain. It's always there. I am now living a nightmare. I have so many medical bills now it is just unthinkable that this happened. I am going to pray that if you are thinking of having any proceedure done here - PLEASE THINK AGAIN!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The so called Doctor on duty who's never there is a baby doctor and he doesn't even know what goes on with his staff nor does anyone here care if you live or die. more

First thing I want to do is respond to ""Joe C's"" comment from a few days ago. I am a primary care physician practicing for over 10 years and I am very familiar with medical cosmetics especially with chemical peel such as the Vitalize peel that was used by Joe C. Now Joe C claims that he/she developed trigeminal nerve damage , otherwise in medical terms known as trigeminal neuralgia. I want to make it very clear that this is a physical impossibility. The ingredients used in these chemical peels (including alcohol Denat., Salicyclic Acid, Resorcinol, Lactic Acid, Panthenol, Isoceteth-20) DO NOT penetrate past the dermal layer. The trigeminal nerve travels well below this layer and there is NO way this would be possible..this is like saying you broke my leg because you spilled water on it. It is simply not feasible. Trigeminal neuralgia only occurs secondary to certain conditions. These include: Cerebellopontine angle tumors (e.g., meningioma); tumors of Cranial Nerve 5 (e.g., neuroma, vascular malformations), trauma, and demyelinating diseases (e.g., multiple sclerosis [MS]). Before you start blaming your ""Vitalize Peel"" or ""Jenn"" on your condition, I would seriously recommend you consult a neurologist for full evaluation including imaging. I sincerely do hope your condition improves but you are simply filling this blog with your NONSENSE and IGNORANCE. \r \r Last thing I want to mention, I have gone for multiple laser treatments at this site, and I have had very very successful results. I would recommend this place to anyone! more

Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center I have to say is the BEST!!!! I been having issues with ingrown hair my entire life nothing seemed to work. I tried it all I MEAN EVERYTHING and finally I found something that works, being a Latina with olive skin complexion and very coarse hair can BE A CHALLENGE but the aesthetic center counts with a team of professionals that are determine in finding a laser treatment that best suits your skin complexion. I started with one package and the results were so great am already on my third and I have to say Darren my technician is the best, THE BEST!!!! I first went to ALT in 2006 to have laser hair removal. I have been so happy with the results and I'm now back in treatment for other areas of my body. I am most impressed with how quick and easy this process really is - and the results are phenomenal and the costs are reasonable! I highly recommend ALT. more

Love, Love, Love Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center! I consistently get my Botox done here by Dr. Coppa. He is wonderful! Very professional, nice and does an amazing job. His Botox work leaves me looking natural, not over done or fake looking. I have also had spider veins removed. After two kids my legs were a mess. After the first treatment, almost all the veins were gone instantly, I needed a second treatment to get the bigger and darker ones. Theresa, the nurse, did an amazing job. They also carry wonderful products, I love the SkinMedica skin care line, its makes my face glow. I highly recommend Aesthetic Laser Treatment, Dr. Coppa and all his staff, they are all very knowledgeable and so friendly. You won't be disappointed! more

I have been going to ALT since 2006 and have had a host of treatments done - laser hair removal, peels, IPL and juvaderm treatments. All have been very, very successful. The staff alre always courteous and helpful and it is a pleasurable experience every time. I give them a 'thumbs up'!! more

I first had a Rejuvenize peel - I purchased the series of three for around $600, as that is, according to the literature, the minimum recommended if you're hoping for results. So. Two peels did remove some sun damage, which was great, but didn't have any effect on my overall skin appearance - ie,kind of a ""rough"" complexion. I didn't get to finish the series because after the second peel I developed a red & blistery rash and needed oral antibiotics. This happened about 2 weeks after the peel and did not happen after the first peel, so it may have had nothing to do with the peel. Needless to say, my dermatologist did not recommend I do the third peel. I called the center and explained the situation and asked if they could refund me for the third peel. Uh, no - so I asked if I could apply that amount to another treatment. They very graciously agreed, but minus $60, since without the package I did not qualify for the ""free"" products that came with the peel package. OK. Now I'm left with a $120 credit - still very cool they allowed the credit - which I opted to apply toward . . . Botox on my 11s. Why not?! This cost around $260 and was, my friends, a total waste of money. I have before-and-after pictures and they are pretty much identical. There is absolutely no difference when at rest and some minor improvement (ie limited movement) when frowning. I thought this was because my own personal frown lines were just so much worse than the average 40-something woman, but then I ran into a couple of ladies getting their hair foiled in the chair next to me and their foreheads were smooooth as the forehead of a 20-year old, maybe a 30 year old . . . and they assured me their frown lines had been, untreated, just as bad as mine (they were nicer than that). So, Botox, 20 units, Somewhere Else, where I won't say, so this post is not confused with an advertisement, which it is not = results. Botox, 20 units, Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center = no results. Now I am really frowning. My REAL problem is that when I emailed to ask them for some feedback, ie why did this $260 procedure not work a whit on me, I just received no response whatsoever. Which ticked me off & prompted me to find a place to share my story. And btw this story is real - contrasted to the other ""five star"" reviews on this place, which appear to have been written by the office manager cycling through different IDs - Seriously, who writes reviews like that? Ah! People who work there. Who were, in fact, very nice. Not sure if I'd go so far as to call them ""delighful!"" Just wish I'd gotten some response from them - will be trying the Other Place soon. more

I was very skeptical about trying laser hair removal, I thought it might be a waste of money considering I was a hairy Italian woman. Well this turned out to be the best money I ever spent. No more long hours waxing and tweezing. Now I just get up and go. I wish I had heard about the treatment center years ago. So much time wasted. The office staff are so accomodating,and helpful and my technician Nicole is so professional and knowledgable. I cannot thank them enough for giving me my confidence and valuable time back. more

I was extremely nervous about my cosmetic treatment prior to my experience at Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center. I have a dark brown complexion and I was unable to find reliable information on the treatment I was considering. Most of the relevant information I found online was from people of similar skin color who had bad experiences elsewhere with the same treatment. Nevertheless, I decided to give Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center a try and I could not be happier with the results! They are informative, personal, professional, and quite genuine. The staff is delightful and always willing to assist and esthetician makes me feel so comfortable that I forget I'm even having the treatment done. Most important: the results are amazing!!! I struggled with in-grown hairs for a very long time and shaving daily made it worse. It was often painful and embarrassing. Now my skin is free from constant irritation and my girlfriend and I both love it. Plus I've noticed that I receive more smiles in professional settings ;) more

My husband gave me a gift card for a microdermabrasion last year even though he had no idea what that was. I went in for a consultation to go over what kinds of treatments would be best for me, initialy thinking I was going to just use the girft card. Once I spoke to the girls at the laser center they convinced me to try the photolight treatments to treat my sun damage. At first I was a little nervous because they told me my brown spots would get darker and fall off! I put my faith in them and said lets do it. Pros: very friendly, not pushy more

Now that summer is coming I am so glad I have completed all of my laser treatments. I had my bikini and underarms done and I can't even express how great it is to not even have a razor in my shower. The Aesthetic Laser Treatment Center has the nicest staff. I have been to other laser centers and felt very rushed and uneasy about treatments. All of the girls explained what to expect and even called me to see how my first treatment went. The laser that they use was much more effective than the other center I had treatments with previously. I liked the girls so much I have started doing chemical peels and photolight treatments as well for my awful brown spots. Pros: Friendly staff, well trained, medical setting, great results more
