I have been a client of Advantage Security for over 4 years and have been more than satisfied with the level of service I have received from the various account managers that I have worked with. They have always been very responsive to any issues or concerns that I had. The officers are very highly respected by our tenants and staff. When I was hired by the Aurora, CO. Advantage Security office the receptionist said that I was becoming a part of the 'family'. Later I would find that description as alien a concept as possible with Advantage Security. I needed a job not only to assist me with finishing & paying for college but also to help me assist my mother who had been diagnosed with leukemia. She lived with me for over a year until the cancer finally overcame her. During that time I thought that Advantage was a great place to work and even brought my mother in to meet many of the office administrative staff during a holiday business gathering. However, as soon as my mother was diagnosed as terminal the true face of Advantage began to show. I needed time off sometimes to help my mother and made this clear to the office, who at the time said they would help in any way they could. When it came time to ask for that understanding and compassion it was all about the business and never about the struggles with cancer however! I couldn't believe how anti-family this self-labeled 'family business' really turned out to be! I had to quit the company to be there for my mom frequently in her last few months and to settle her estate afterwards. It took me forever to find out the real reason why I was 'ineligible for re-hire'. I was shocked at the unofficial, yet real reason, that my family, and not the Advantage 'family' came first! more

First of all ASI is a good company that I believe truly values their employees. They are very loyal to their employees and the company is run with a ""mom and pop"" feel. You will always be able to rest assure that your job is safe. However their are also some bad qualities you should be aware of. First of all the medical and dental insurance is ridiculous. It is so overpriced that their guards just don't have it. I have worked for at least five posts and have asked dozens of guards and none have the insurance. Most are uninsured which is very scary. I am one of those uninsured. I am hoping my wife finds a job with benefits soon. I need some dental work and am looking at some serious $$ It would be an excellent place to work if they were able to make the health and dental affordable. Otherwise I will always wish I was with a larger company. more

I have never worked for a better company than Advantage Security. Management truly cares about the officers and it shows. It's like a big family. I love going to work every day. more

I have dealt with several companies in the Metro area. Some experiences have been ok and yet others have left me concerned. I was referred to Advantage by a colleague that has a 6 property portfolio and he uses Advantage. I set an appointment fo walk my 2 properties that needed 3 stationary officers 16 hours a day and several patrol checks in the evening. Within a day I knew what this would cost me and that they could start as soon as I approved the proposal. I even got to interview the officers on my site myself to make sure it was a good fit. Its been 6 months now, I have faith in Security in the Metro again thanks to them. Truly an ongoing professional and rewarding experience. more

I've had the priviledge of being both an employee AND a client of Advantage Security. I started there being a security guard and then they were very helpful & flexible with my schedule when I went back to college. more

No sick days. No bereavement pay. The ""Cheapest"" insurance they offer has a $5000 deductible. The people in the home office used to have compassion and empathy....both of which are currently non-existent. Greed and lust for profit settled in and now money is all the owner, Vick Evans, cares about. more

Advantage Security is a wonderful place to work. They have taken care of me for 6 years now, and I am very grateful. They are always willing to help you, even driving officers from their home and to work in snow storms - what other company do you know that does that! They are as honest as it gets.
