I have just experienced my second course of treatments at this clinic, for two different reasons. When I called to get an appointment, I was happy to be able to get in within that same week. The staff has always been pleasant and courteous. I was amazed with the results and experience I had the first time I went for neck pain, I had referred many family members and friends. In January, I began experiencing pain in my hip. I decided to see Dr. Berkey to see what he could do for me. I have noticed an improvement in the pain since I started adjustments and doing the home exercises that were provided to me. While the progress is slow, I am continuing to do the home exercises, and will see Dr. Berkey on a regular basis in hopes the pain will continue to get better. I had been meaning to find a place that could assist me in trying to lose weight. I was driving down Rte 34 and saw the sign at Advanced Physical Medicine that mentioned a weight loss program. I wrote the number down and never made the call. A few weeks later I passed the same sign again and this time I called and made an appointment to have a free consultation regarding their weight loss program. I met with Dr. Berkey who is in charge of the clinic. He was very friendly and explained in detail what I can expect if I enrolled in the weight loss program. He gave me the grand tour of the facility and introduced me to the other office staff. He gave me literature regarding the program he outlined and about the qualifications of the staff members. I came to APMY due to lower back excruciating pain that happened overnight. My wife, daughter, and son had talked highly of Dr. Berkey and this approach to alternative treatment. Previously 2 months earlier I had seen my Clinical Physician who from Xray diagnosed of arthritis setting in the back and recommended Chiropractic and physical therapy with prescription of pain killer. Due to this experience I choose to visit APMY and Dr. Berkey. He was very patience and ordered Xray and MRI to determine the lower back pain. I was diagnosed with herniated disc problem for the L5 & L4 with bulging disc issue with L3 & L4. Dr. Berkey discussed various alternatives for treatment including 32 decompression technique with physical therapy. Just after going through the 3rd treatment, my pain was down from 100% to almost 60%. Advanced Physical Medicine of Yorkville has been very helpful for my back and neck pain. I have suffered for years and have been to several providers. Dr. Berkey, Dr. Malik, and his staff provided the most comprehensive care that I have ever had. That is saying a lot since I have been to over 7 different offices for physical therapy, chiropractic care, and pain management. When I went to see Dr. Berkey, I was at my worst. He and his staff took the time to answer all of my questions. We started a treatment program after a complete evaluation and diagnostic testing. I met with the office manager to review my insurance and cost of treatment. They were very reasonable. I am extremely satisfied with my results! I cannot say enough great things about them.
