Running late to the gym, having no time to wash and style my new long hair, I pulled it into a ponytail and was out the door. Throughout the day, no less than 5 people commented on my ""cute"" hair; each time I thanked them, I also thanked Melinda. When I met Melinda at AHC, I had glued on hair extensions on my fine and very short hair. After a very thoughtful consultation, Melinda worked her magic, with an eye for quality, design and dreams. Has my beautiful new hair changed my life? Well, no... but it sure is a lot more fun. Thanks Melinda, Thanks Yadira, for your beauty, your professionalism, for your personal care and attention. more

Worth every cent! 5/20/2011

After extensive research on hair extensions, I was confident Advanced Hair Concepts was THE place to go. The hairloc system is your best system out there, especially if you have fine hair. Trust me, any other method is going to TRASH your hair. I have suffered from low self confidnce due to fine thinning hair for over a decade. Melinda changed that in an instant. My extensions and color are so natural looking and blended PERFECTLY into my real hair. I even have friends and coworkers with what I consider gorgeous long hair wanting hair extensions now because my hair looks so great (strange, but true)! The way Melinda does the extension match, cut and color- noone will ever question whether your hair is all yours or not. Melinda also nailed my hair color to a tee with just a brief description to her of what I wanted as far as highlights. She is trully talented at what she does. And the best part, you can reuse your hair extensions for up to a year (give or take) if you maintain them properly. more

Best extensions in San Diego! 6/30/2010

I had my advanced hair lock extensions done at Advanced Hair Concepts by Melinda and i absolutely looooove them. After years of experimenting with every type of hair extension available... from hair dreams, to even glueing them in myself, these are by far the best Ive ever had. Melinda is great and i was shocked that within an hour and half I had a full head of brand new, gorgeous extensions! (Other salons had taken up to 7 hours to install a full set of new extensions) These extensions do not slip out the way other extensions Ive had in the past would. Im so greatful that I came to Melinda and her team, I cannot express in words how happy I am with the result! I would deffinetly recommend this company to anyone! more

I was referred to Advanced Hair Concepts from a very good friend with raving reviews. I was very happy with the entire establishment! I love my new hair extensions, I have worn them without telling people that I had them and no one realizes that they are really not all mine (which is what I want)!My hair extensions look so real I can't imagine not having them. Advanced Hair Concepts really know what they are doing and are worth the money. Pros: great hair more

I first went to Advance Hair Concepts in November 2009. In the past I had my lomg hair chemically straightened which caused damage to my hair. I have been trying to grow it out now for about 3 years. Great Color and Brazilian Blowout 10/13/2009

I moved to San Diego leaving my long time hair dresser and was extremely hesitant on trying somebody new. I tried a salon in Poway that a classmate suggested and I was extremely disappointed and my hair was hideous, then a friend recommend Melinda at Advance Hair Concepts and I couldn't have been any more pleased. She not only corrected the color but has done an amazing job since. I have extremely unruly hair that demands specific hair products and lots of flat ironing. Melinda thought I would be a perfect candidate for a Brazilian Blowout, so I trusted her opinion and booked the appointment. I am so pleased with the outcome. I save so much time getting ready everyday. I can let my hair-dry (I have NEVER been able to air-dry) while doing my make-up then use the flat iron to touch up around my face. I just cant believe it's taken me 27 years to finally find the answer to my hair problems, I will never be able to go without! Pros: Always leave happy more

I have been going to Advanced Hair Concepts for the past 5 months, I waited to write a review on my hair extensions because I wanted to make sure I liked them long term. I have partial extensions, to fill in my fine/thin hair, it's shoulder length, and my extensions feel as if they are a natural part of my scalp. On my first appointment at AHC I received a free consultation, where I was shown different options and Melinda was honest about what would be best for my fragile hair. One week later, I had thicker, healthier looking, beautiful hair!! I have not looked back, nor have I been disappointed! It is completely natural, there is no pulling, no tangling, it all blends perfectly. This experience has been a cost-effective, time saving, wonderful addition to my life. I would like to wear these extensions forever! Pros: Thicker, fuller Hair, time saving, cost effective! more

I'm really impressed with this salon. Melinda and her staff do amazing things with hair extensions, but if you're just looking for a first class cut and color, this is also the place to go! I'm always pleased with how my hair looks when I leave the salon. They have a great location in La Mesa and I love the upscale ambience. more

Melinda and her staff are so very knowledgeable in all different kinds of hair extensions that will work for your individual needs. I was very impressed by the integrity and honesty from Melinda and her wonderful staff. Melinda showed me what to expect and how to maintain my extensions, what hair products to use and what not to use as well. I could not be happier with them. Advanced Hair Concepts is exceptional! Melinda took particular care to perfectly match my own hair (and even matched my highlights!) to maintain a natural look, while increasing the fullness. And now, I finally have the hair that I've always dreamed of! Melinda and Julie are professional, accommodating, and really took the time to educate me on how to properly maintain my hair and increase the longevity of the extensions. Advanced Hair Concepts uses real people as examples on their web site so you can see exactly what they can do for your hair situation. They are experts at hair extensions. No one can tell that I wear them. Melinda and the girls are wonderful. I have rarely been so please with a product or the service, but I would highly recommend Advanced Hair Concepts. more

Great quality extensions 4/14/2009

After chemical damage ruined my hair, I decided to get extensions at Advanced Hair Concepts. I love them! The color and texture match so well that people don't believe it when I tell them that I have extensions. The prices for the services and the products are very reasonable. I have had other extentions like great length and you just can't compare!!All the girls make you feel comfortable. I would not anywhere else!! Best Hair Extensions 4/14/2009

After trying two other salons in San Diego for hair extensions, spending thousands of dollars and not being satisfied with the results (poor hair quality and improper installation) I was ready to give up my wish of having long beautiful hair. Then I had my consultation with Melinda the owner of Advanced Hair Concepts. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the latests products, experience and friendly professional staff.
