I had a rough idle with a car that I bought for my mom. I had taken it to three mechanics and after spending a lot of money, and hearing a lot of different excuses to the problem, the car still ran rough. I was referred to Advanced by a friend and figured I'd give repairing the car one more try before I sold it. When I got there the mechanic on duty was arms deep into another cars motor and quickly left it to attend to me. He heard my story and quickly located the problem after connecting a computer to it. He told me it would be a few days to get the part and do the work. Turns out it was a bad ""coil pack"" on the car. It was repaired and came in below the price he estimated. The staff was courteous and the car runs great after others have failed to repair it. I would recommend this shop as a first stop to have a problem diagnosed and fixed. I travel 50 miles to take my car problems there and it's worth every bit of the trip. more

I have been going to Advances Auto for a few years now. I will never bring my car anywhere else. I had a problem with my car that the dealer couldnt even figure out. A friend told me about this place, I called got a appt right away and my car was fixed and the price was great. I will never go back to a dealer ever again. more

I stopped in there a few months back and they seemed very honest and fair about some minor repairs that I needed. more

I had some smoke comeing from my exhaust so I brought it to these guys to have it diagnosed. The owner calls me four days latter and tells me it was a bad pcv valve. For anyone that doesn't know, a pcv valve cost $5 at any auto parts store. So I get there and he hands me a bill for $750 dollars, I ask what this is for and he tells me about compression tests, engine diagnostic machines and everything else and then say's it was only a bad pcv valve. I never ok'd any of this with him and I was stuck with paying the bill. To the best of my knowledge, mechanics have to call you before they do any work to your car. I am going to report this guy to the better buisiness buroe asap. Oh, He also threw in som raceing spark plugs at $20 a peace, I don't even own a race car. more
