Best thick crust pizza 10/13/2005

When I was actually an OSU student I only had Adriatico's a few times. It seemed pricey for my budget which was no budget. When a co-worker mentioned going for lunch, I decided to try it, and now it is one of my favorites. It can get busy so try going during one of the OSU breaks or during summer session. My co-workers and I call ahead for a Buckeye with thick crust and classic pepperoni and dine in. I have also gone on the weekends and it is more relaxed then. The people are nice enough. but the pizza is why I go--delicious, highly flavored crust that is chewy, and the sauce has a wonderful flavor too. The cheese and pepperoni compliment it. This is the place to go when you want your pizza to be like a meal. Pros: The pizza!, Call ahead ordering Cons: Difficult to park, Crowded, Limited delivery more

OMG it is sooooooo good. 5/13/2004

I love Adriatico's. When I get back to Columbus the first thing I do when I step off the airplane is order a large pepperoni thick crust pizza and go pick it up. Their thinner crust is good too and more like NY style. Its a fun place to eat if you like to grab a pitcher of beer with friends and eat pizza. Its just a pizza joint, nothing fancy. There is a huge parking garage right next to Adriatico's if you are going to dine in. If not just put on your hazards, run in and get your pizza. ATTENTION MEN, Adriatico's is also located across from the all girl's dorm where I once lived ; ) more

Awesome Pizza, not true NY style though 4/15/2004

While Adriatico's is my second favorite pizza in Ohio, it's not quite NY style. I too was born and raised in NJ just 20 minutes from NYC and I would have to say that the Flying Pizza on High Street is the closest thing to real NY style pizza. Check out their review too. Nothing against Adriatico's -- they make great pizza and I recommend them! You can't go wrong with either place in my opinion. Pros: Great pizza Cons: , not true NY style more

Yummy! 10/10/2003

Adriatico's has excellent spicy/sweet sauce on their pizzas. They are good sized for the price, and are pretty good as leftovers, too. The location is tricky to find, so order delivery if you're in their area. It's difficult to find parking for pick-up, and their ""dining room"" is tiny. Adriatico's Pizza is awesome... thick New York style with lots of tasty toppings and super sauce and crust. But get it to go... The place itself is a hole in the wall on the OSU campus, parking is tough to find, and they're very slow. Anyone who would put Donato's above here has never tried real pizza. And I like Donatoes for consistancy, like it's parent company McDonald's, it's good, staple, fast food... But for real Pizza! The Best Ever 2/27/2003

I went to Chicago just to taste the supposedly best pizza in the world and came back disappointed. All I have to say is try the Buckeye Pizza. On Monday and Tuesday their prices can't be beat. The thick crust is delectable and it is unfathomable to believe that other pizza joints have higher ratings. People with lack of taste should not be allowed to rate restaurants. The thick crust pizza with sliced tomatoes, green peppers, onions, pep, or whatever else you like is fantastic. One of the best things about Adriaticos is that the pizza is just as good or better cold. Hook up with this campus establishment as soon as you can. It's great stuff more

When I first moved to Columbus, Adriatico's was a god send. In past months Adriatico's can only produce mediocre pizza at best. There is better than mediocre Adriatico's out there folks! Pros: near campus Cons: slow service, smokey, becoming poor value more

Sick of traditional pizza chains? Adriatico's is a wonderful alternative providing ""New York Style"" pizza that is to die for. I'd drive a thousand miles... 7/24/2002

I discovered Adriatico's when I was a student at Ohio State over 10 years ago, and it is still my favorite pizza. The crust is perfect, the sauce is spicy, and toppings are fresh. I would drive a 1000 miles for a pie from Adriatico's... but luckily I only have to drive 30 miles. It is truly the best pizza in Ohio, no, the best pizza in the WORLD!! Adriaticos has to be one of the best pizza places in Columbus. The sauce and crust are delicious and the huge pepperoni practically cover a slice. It is a little pricy but the die hard fan will fork over the cash, or take advantage of the Monday and I think maybe Tuesday night deals they offer. You can't go wrong with a few Buckeye pizza's for a large social gathering. more
