I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Kirschner and Carin from Adoption Makes Family. They are professional, considerate, and loving. They made the entire adoption process as smooth as it can be. We went to other agencies in/around the Baltimore area but they felt large and impersonal. From the time I learned I was pregnant, due to a rape, I wasn't sure what to do with an unplanned pregnancy. I was unsure, scared, and felt so isolated. After contacting Dean, he came to see me. We went over my options, my feelings, and my needs and wants as far as perspective adoptive family goes. Dean explained everything in fine detail, and helped me through the emotional torment that comes with giving a child away. Dean went above the calls of duty for me. He was even there in the delivery room when I gave birth. Because of Dean, and AMF, my birth child who will be turning four soon, is happy, and living a wonderful life with her amazing parents. Adoption Makes Family is an agency that is sensitive to the emotional needs of birth mothers and their child. The staff members work very hard to make sure that each and every adoption situation is carefully attended to and respectful of the birth mother's wishes.
