We have always received extraordinarily competent, polite, and accurate assistance and advice for our two shelter dogs from Dr. Kay. When appropriate, he takes a conservative approach to treatment--which saves money, avoids risk, and is humane. Although we recently moved to the foothills west of Boulder (20 minutes further away), we will continue to take our dogs to Dr. Kay! more

Dr. Bock is long gone, he was an excellent man and Veterinarian. Dr. Kay is a piece of garbage to put it at its best. He will gouge you. He is a poor excuse for a man and should have his license revoked. SoBo Animal Hospital (what they are now called) will charge you for anything and everything at the highest rate possible. I could understand paying top dollar but the Dr.'s aren't even there when some of the procedures are being performed. On surgical days the anesthetics are dosed and given without a Dr. being present which is illegal. They do not know emergency procedures and Dr. Kay has gone through extensive work to have negative feedback on the web removed. Just look at all of the dates on the feedbacks, they are ancient which means he is getting only negative feedbacks and paying to have them removed! I was his manager, he was verbally and physically abusive to me and other employees. As he was to the manager before me, and the ones before him! more

Did not do a single test when I brought my cat in and told him she had a history of stroke. A week later she became very ill and they would not see her because they did not have appointments available. Took her to another vet and found out that her high b.p associated with hyperthyroidism had caused another stroke. I believe this could have been avoided had he listened to me and been more aggressive about checking her health. Pros: nice Cons: Not thorough. Not willing to see my pet in an emergency. more

I highly recommend Doctor Bock to pet owners in the Boulder/Denver area (and even farther away - because it is worth driving to have his services). He is highly qualified, but more importantly he cares about his fur-covered patients - whether they be big or small, cat or dog, or even those that are not as numerous in the pet-owner world. I have taken my rabbits, my cats and my dogs to Doctor Bock for the past nine years. He never disappoints me. He is honest, caring and highly skilled in his treatment of my ""children"". if only there were more people in the world like Doctor Bock - the world would be a much better place.
