Recently my husband was referred to Dr Addy's office for OSA Oral Device consult. It was explained to him by Mary that their office did not file to Insurance, however they would provide the Insurance Claim forms and even complete them for him to mail for reimbursement. What Mary failed to explain to him is that Dr. Addy is NON-par with his insurance. Therefore, if he had kept the appointment and paid over $2000 for services rendered, and filed the claim - his claim for covered benefits would have been denied due to Provider being ""out of network"" or Non-Par. I phoned Dr. Addy's office on behalf of my husband and was told by Diane that ""the way we get around this is by the patient's Primary Physician referral"".
Cons: Unethics
