Todd and everyone at ACS are an amazing team to work with! Not only is the studio well equipped and well organized, but I've never worked with a teacher who is as personally invested in the success of their students as Todd is. I came here 5 months ago with a theatre heavy background, and have made amazing strides at bringing my acting into a more nuanced, honest, and film-friendly place. As far as pricing goes, it really is rather cheep compared to most other legit acting classes out there - and I promise you'll get the most bang for your buck here! more

Todd Rohrbacher, Elaine Hendrix, and Corinne Dekker are my dream team. They're my BFF's in the business; they tell me when I look good and most importantly when I look bad, saying things like, 'Oh my god, you are funny.' and 'Jeanette I don't know what that was, but don't do it again. Falling is fun at Actors Comedy Studio and that's why I continue to learn so rapidly studying here. They keep classes current to industry standards and are determined to help us push our careers forward in the direction where we'll likely be successful. They teach with honesty and empowerment. That's what I'm talking about! I love ACS! more

After leaving education for the first time and entering the ""real world"" I am so thankful to have found Actors Comedy Studio. Todd is incredibly forthcoming with his industry knowledge and is really invested in his students' success. It is a wonderful experience to be able to perform every class, and get honest and constructive feedback. I love being in an environment where the other students are committed actors who take their work seriously. If you're interested in sitcom training this is the place to study! more

I'm so grateful to have found Todd and ACS! I have improv and traditional scene study training, but had no idea how to merge the two. Focusing on scripted comedy scenes, audition technique and character archetypes is exactly what I need to be a comedic television actress. \r Todd also helped me put a laser beam focus on my career and goals, and is one of my biggest cheerleaders! I'm happy to have found my acting home in LA. more

Actors Comedy Studio is the first school I have attended in Los Angeles that I have felt is worth every penny. The staff is absolutely incredible, providing both top notch on-camera training and practical career knowledge. The school attracts talented, focused and supportive actors who challenge me on a weekly basis to bring my A-game. The school also works hard to foster a community of artists by providing weekly shows, outside support and some of the best workshops in town. I LOVE studying here. Not only do I learn about the SHOW, I learn about the BUSINESS. Everyone is very encouraging, and Todd truly cares about the growth of each student. I've grown so much since I've been here, and feel truly blessed by everyone I've met. If you want to learn comedy, ACS is the place to be. \r \r Oh yeah, and they have CD workshops for ONLY $20!!! You're literally not going to find that anywhere in LA. more

This class is amazing! Todd is a master of comedy and he teaches you all the ins and outs. He allows you to be free and explore without judgement knowing that's what it takes to get the best out of his actors. I've studied at The Actor's Comedy Studio for the past few months and have already learned a ton. It's not like any other class in that is solely focused on comedy and on camera work which helps tremendously for auditions. Todd Rohrbacher is one of the best. I've watched Todd elevate good work to the ""booking jobs"" level. He has the insight to know what they are looking for out there and he helps actors achieve that level of specificity and truth in their work. He is a great teacher who just knows funny and with the Actors Comedy Studio he has created a supportive and fun place to play. Every class you work and Todd is always mixing it up so it's constantly challenging and unexpected. It's hard in LA to find someone who truly cares and I highly recommend ACS for anyone looking for a sitcom class that's so much more than just taking your money. more

I can't say enough great things about Actors Comedy Studio. Todd is an amazing teacher and person in general. He really cares about each of his students and takes the time to help them overcome their obstacles in acting. He has a great instinct and will take you out of your comfort zone, but in a loving way to make you the best you can be. I am so blessed to find a class I feel comfortable enough in to try new things and even look like a fool. I am laughing and learning constantly at ACS! The support staff is very friendly and helpful. I encourage everyone to take a chance and try out class at ACS and fall in love! more

I wish I learned about the Actors Comedy Studio years ago. Yes, of course, Todd is THE BEST at comedy. On top of all his knowledge about how to teach comedy he also knows everything you need to know about the business and what it takes to be an actor and how to market yourself. He challenges you, he encourages you and inspires you to be the best and is patient and so supportive. He genuinely wants you to be the best you can be and really believes in you and gives you the tools you need to succeed. But it's not all about the comedy. It's first about being an authentic and honest actor. He's specific and really pays attention to detail catered to the individual. I get to learn with and from some of the most dedicated and best actors in town, therefore, every class is inspiring. Todd creates a strong community for actors and now Actors Comedy Studio is offering casting director workshops with the most popular casting directors in the biz! I'm stoked I found this gem of a studio... I just wish I would have found it sooner! more

Recently took the Comedy Intensive with Todd Rohrbacher and Dorian Frankel at ACS. What a great experience, they really know they're stuff, and if you're looking to get you Comedy chops polished, this is the event to attend! You work many times in this Intensive, and having Casting Director Dorian Frankel give her insight into the casting process, is extremely helpful. Take the Intensive, you'll be glad you did. more

As someone just getting into the comedy/acting scene, I decided to attend one of the Comedy Cast Intensives at ACS and within the first 15 minutes, I fell in love. So much so that I decided to also sign up for Todd's Acting for Sitcoms class. The Comedy Cast Intensive was incredibly informative. Todd and Dorian work great together and provide their extensive knowledge working in the industry, helping everyone stay one step ahead. They also take the time to give individual feedback to everyone there---which was a very supportive group of very talented people. So far, I'm loving Todd's Acting for Sitcoms class and will definitely be taking the Comedy Cast Intensive again in the future! more

ACS: The Right Thing 5/17/2012

The Actors Comedy Studio is a place where every class truly does make you better. There is only so much you can do yourself without this kind of insight and direction. It forces you to ""find the funny"" and to do it smartly and precisely, as timing is the world, This is a fun, upbeat and even warm environment to stay up to date with what is working in sitcom comedy these days. You need to come to class prepared to step out of the box, and learn the science behind sitcoms. And how to make it funny. Todd is a rising star in this town and it's not hard to see why. He knows comedy. After one class, you'll be hooked. more

One of the best classes in town! 5/11/2012

The Actor's Comedy Studio is one of the best classes in town, hands down. Todd is a wonderful teacher who is also a working professional actor, and is very honest with his acting notes and suggestions. The Actor's Comedy Studio is the only class I've taken so far that is devoted to sitcom acting - all of you actors out there that want to be on TV, this class is a must! There is never a wasted minute in class at ACS...all of the classes are well structured so that every actor/actress gets to perform 2-3 times EVERY CLASS and every performance is recorded to be reviewed at the end of the night! Getting to perform, get notes and then review my own performance has helped me get more comfortable in front of the camera and learn where I need to trim bad habits and become more expressive. Todd rocks! more

A solid choice! 5/7/2012

As an actor new to Los Angeles (eep!), Actors Comedy Studio has been an incredible resource. As a student in the Acting for Sitcoms class, I've gained a broader perspective of what Casting Directors are looking for when casting for sitcoms. Todd Rohrbacher, a man a funny as he is knowledgeable, gives his students the opportunity to perform in front of a camera and WATCH THEMSELVES at the end of every session, whilst honestly explaining the comedic strengths and weaknesses of each actor's character decisions. This is vital to developing consistent and authentic characters. If you're for acting classes that specialize in comedy, I would heartily endorse Actors Comedy Studio! more
