I would give these guys a zero if possible. They towed my common law husband?s car. In the parking lot before towing to the yard they demanded $175 right then or if it was impounded they said it would be $300. Because he didn't have it (they only accepted cash) he called me to bring him the money. By the time I got there with the money after going to the ATM, 15 minutes later, they had taken it back to the yard. We high tailed it to their yard but needed to stop by another ATM right up the street from their yard to get the rest of the money. We made it back to their yard before they did. They pulled up and after my CLH gave them the cash, driver?s license and registration, I decided to film the transaction because the whole thing sounded like the scam it is. When Jesse (I think that was his name), realized I was filming, he demanded I stop. I refused. He lied and said I was on private property. It was a blatant lie because we were not in his tow yard and were still in the street. When I didn't stop filming, he grabbed my new iPhone 4 and refused to give it back. I demanded my phone back and a scuffle ensued as I reached over his back to grab my phone. He then threatened to taze me (with an activated taser) while yelling at the red head lady to call the police because I had hit him. He has proven himself to be a liar because I did not hit him. I heard her telling the police officer that her partner was being assaulted. He still had my cell phone (he was trying to delete my video) so I used my CLH's cell phone, to call the police. He then moved the tow truck into his yard and demanded $100 more (my CLH had already given him $300 his driver's license and registration). My CLH had gotten $300 out of the bank and I had $180. I refused to hand him over the rest of the money until the police got there. Jesse then told my CLH that every minute they waited for the police to get there he would charge $5 a minute in an attempt for us to cancel the police request. I refused this extortion but my fed up CLH demanded my cell phone back before he handed those thieves over any more money. They relented and gave the phone back, got $100 and my CLH got his car back and drove out of their lot. I, on the other hand was furious by the thievery and the guy taking my phone and threatening to taser me, I again called the police and asked that they come out because I had already been accused of assault, had my property STOLEN and was physically threatened with an activated taser. After my CLH drove out their gates and past me on the E. 95th Ct., I blocked the tow truck in alley and parked because they tried to leave and I was waiting for the police. Jesse got out of the tow truck and demanded that I move the car and accused me of KIDNAPPING him which was a FELONY. I told him bulls**t and he should be happy the cops were coming. He attempted to threaten again saying I was guilty of a felony. We waited there for an additional 45 minutes before the police arrived. The police did his job and got both sides of the story. When he came back to me after speaking to those thugs, he said Jesse said I?d punched him in the stomach and my CLH had hit him in the head. What a crock of crap! I wish I?d jujitsu?d his behind. Nothing happened as a result of this attempted extortion, threats and theft by the employees of ACTION TOWING. Oh and By the Way, I was not arrested or cited. They lost money and were not, at least for that hour and a half, acting like thugs and extorting the rest of the citizens of Anchorage.
