I had never hired a moving company before and started my search on CitySearch. I was looking to book a weekend time so I began looking two weeks prior. After calling and quoting a few different services, I decided upon Acclaimed movers. I booked a 9 AM move on a SUNDAY. I was weary when one of the companies I quoted from called me back and told me ""good luck"". I called Aaron in the meantime and he reassured me that everything would be ok. At 9am on Sunday Bean and Gus showed up. Both were well spoken, alert, and clean. They were very responsive during the packing. I had refinished 1200 sq ft of wood floors in my new house. Not only were none of my furniture or boxes damaged, but there was not one scratch on my floors. I will highly recommend Acclaimed movers to anyone who needs to move and I will use them in my next move. Thanks a bunch! more

Without a doubt the best moving company in LA and a bunch of kind human beings. They are courteous, friendly, professional, and go above and beyond the call of duty! One of my co-workers had to move quickly after a messy break up. She found an apartment in Burbank and with such short notice struggled to find friends to help her move. Being the community-minded fellow I am I offered to help. Moving day was last Friday and everything went wrong that could go wrong. It was scorching hot, there was no parking, and worse her expensive and massive armoire that she loved didn't fit up the stairs. The movers finagled and finagled with no luck. They tried taking some of it apart, still no luck. It became clear that it wasn't going to fit up the stairs and my coworker was devastated. Danny, the guy in charge of the moving crew, told her that just wasn't going to fit and they would be wasting her money to continue trying. He offered to engineer a system with his men, to literally pull the enormous armoire through the second floor window. Sure enough the operation was a success. Thank you guys so much for doing such a great job! Ill be calling you guys again when my move is ready! more

I?ve lived in Manhattan, Miami, Long Island and Chicago. I have had a very poor experience with various movers over the years. I initially contacted Acclaimed movers upon the recommendation of one of my close friends. After all my terrible experience I was ready for another moving nightmare! Acclaimed movers completely proved me wrong. I noticed the professionalism from the get go, from the first phone conversation and throughout the entire move. The movers were on time, respectable of all my belongings and worked with exceptional speed! What was expected to be another excruciating and stressful move, turned out to be the best moving experience I?ve had.. The workers were courteous, hard working and seemed committed to doing a stellar job despite having one tough customer. I wholeheartedly would recommend acclaimed movers to any company or individual and will definitely use them again in my next move. more

We are very happy the move we just experienced with Acclaimed movers. It completely surprised our expectations. The professionalism and courtesy that your staff showed our family was excellent. You were wonderful to us throughout the selection of your company and the planning of our move. Thank you for sending boxes ahead of time so I could do the preliminary packing and wanted to do and for accommodating our need for overnight storage. Your estimate was very clear and included boxes, unlike some of the other estimates we received. To me, an estimate that did not include the price of boxes did not inspire much confidence. Jamie and John were a pleasure to have in our home and they treated our family and belongings with great respect. Jamie was thoughtful with every box he placed. He stacked our boxes neatly and near the place their contents would go while making sure we had comfortable pathways among the boxes. He even rearranged boxes and furniture for us as our new home started to fill. Gus was a very good mover as well. John explained each step of the process to us, and managed his crew beautifully. He closely supervised the work of all his crew and took responsibility for everything. He managed a difficult move of a large household from a two-floor-walk-up through hot California summer heat and an unexpected delay at our destination with good cheer. We are proud to recommend acclaimed movers and will use them for our next move without question. more

My faith is restored in decent people. After getting the run around with another local moving company that will remain unamed, I got referred to Acclaimed Movers. At first I was a little put off with them, after the last mess up. That quickly changed after talking to their onsite estimate manager Jamie. He won me over with his honesty and professional no nonsense approach, I signed up on the spot. Day of the move was fantastic, I was greeted by two guys how took care of my things, wrapped and not thrown around. They moved me with zero headaches. Great experience all around! more

my move occured on nov 4, and i've got nothing but good things to say about them. i got a visit the week before to look over my stuff and give me an estimate. out of the 3 companies this was the only one who sent someone out instead of giving me a quote on the phone. the two fellows who moved my stuff were nice and pros at what they did. they got my stuff on the moving truck and moved in the time that i was estimated. i will use acclaimed movers again. more

I live on a street in Echo Park that upwards on a slanted hill, it's really tricky to get up there even for some older model SUV's let alone a truck, but the driver of this truck was really good at what he did. Glad me and my mom called Acclaimed movers and storage. more

In return for doing a great job on my move, I thought I'de leave a positive review, not that I need to, word seems to be quickly spreading about these guys, and as I see theres quite a few great reviews for their many separate branches. What's there to say, they do a great job, are professional, and careful with my stuff, which if you think about it is the most important thing. more

First off I don't believe one could find a more inept and poorly managed group than Acclaimed Movers. That being said, they do have some staff who are worthy of praise. Donnie, their lead man, is organized and takes his job seriously. As for Jamie, the sales person, here is man who needs to look up ""customer Service"" in the sales manual. A.) he will tell you ""... I will get right back to you"" Don't count on hearing him unless you hound him four or five more times. B.) He will say and promise anything to get you off his back --- and NEVER deliver on those statements. We counted 87 phone calls that were never returned. C.) We learned that Acclaimed is very good at ""Upcharges"" i.e. boxes, paper, tape etc. but the big BIG one is the TOTAL WEIGHT ESTIMATE of your household goods. They will lowball the estimate and get you for huge upcharge for over that weight. Good luck trying to pin them down on this.... Again, Jamie is the master of this. Also, they sub contract the delivery trucks ( hire another company ) for long distance moves. We found this out by mistake --- and the guy that told us that was fired. So, you have packed all your stuff and the day of the move comes right? The crew shows up and one of the ""packers/movers"" is tweeked out of his mind -- a fact that the lead man admits too -- instead of replacing him, they promise to keep him in the truck. When our stuff arrives, there is stuff missing, broken glass, etc.. The response from Jamie is so pat and quick that my guess is they do this all the time "" Well, we are sorry"" he says, "" Monday morning first thing, we will file a claim."" SO now I know why they are called ACCLAIMED MOVERS -- because everyone Files A - CLAIM !!!! Guess how much your stuff is worth on a claim ??? Forty cents on the pound for each damaged piece. Thats right ---. .40 cents -- so you have an heirloom that is worth $3000. and it weighs, three pounds ---- you get a whooping $1.20 !!!! In the long run, moving is stressful and difficult enough, you would hope your movers would help curtail some of that --- not only does Acclaimed Movers contribute to your stress they promise to be the biggest part of it.!!!! This is a company who is short of customer service but long on getting the fast buck. Look elsewhere -- but at all costs -- literally, Do NOT use AAclaimed Movers if you treasure your valuables. more

Miles apart from any other moving company I've used. Easier, faster, simpler, cheaper, more professional. This is my 5th time using these guys, every time has been smooth sailing. Thanks Acclaimed Movers. more

These movers are great. Where to begin. Everything, and I do mean everything went incredibly smooth. They seem to be a small moving company compared to others, but they work significantly harder than others I've ordered to handle your stuff with care and get the job done quick. Moving companies are only called upon once in a while. I give all my recommendation to them. If you need to move stuff, these are your guys, take it from me. more

A friend of mine recommended these guys to me. They were over-all quite fantastic. Seemingly small enough to be personal, but with a highly professional touch. There trucks are certainly the nicest moving trucks I've ever seen. The website didn't disappoint either, had to check out before I took my friends word on it. They moved everything smoothly. My past two experiences left me on edge, I had to watch every item being carried frightened for its well-being. These guys did 4 or 5 things and I saw that I could leave them unsupervised. When you call them, their office staff is quite professional as well. Check these guys out if you are anywhere in California. more
