Accent On Women's Health

After a terrible experience with an obgyn and being treated like garbage by a complete idiot. I found myself at almost 20 weeks searching for more compassionate care. We asked around and I heard good things about Accent on Womens Health, and a midwife named Cherie. She is amazing! Supportive, very knowledgeable and made me so comfortable through my whole pregnancy even when I was doubting myself. Very attentive and determined to make sure you have the healthiest experience and the best care. Can't believe how hard this woman works and so grateful that she was the one delivering my little one. I would recommend her to anyone. more

I called to make an appointment for the second time in two weeks and was denied again because my health insurance has not come into effect. Not only was the receptionist rude to me both times she actually hung up on me. The first time I called she said I would need $500 yet the second time she said it would be $1,000. The sad thing is, I have enough money to pay for the whole pregnancy and birth with cash but was never given an opporutnity to explain this to her. After being hung up on I called back. She answered the phone and put me on hold then must have gone on her lunch break because I was on hold so long that when I finally hung up and called back the recording said to call back during regular business hours. WOW! If this lady was representing my business I'd fire her. I guess I'll be looking for another doctor. more

Everything about this clinic is great! I have met almost all the staff, all three of my kids were delivered by Edie (wonderful lady!), this last was a c section with both her and Dr. Wonderly. But have seen all three of them, Dr. Wonderly, Edie, and Cherie for appointments. They all made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I would recommend any of them to friends or family. Especially Edie, she got me through each of my deliveries and I had great experiences. more

I used this group for my care in my last month of pregnancy and during delivery as I had just moved to the area. It was great that they were willing to see me as a patient since I was so far along in my pregnancy, none of the other clinics in town would accept me. Cherie Hinshaw (midwife) saw me for all my appointments before I had my baby. She was great. When I went into labor, the other midwife (Edie) was on call. I did not have a pleasant birth experience at all. She was very uncompassionate while I was in labor. She refused to give me pain meds when I asked, and when she finally agreed hours later, she tried to scare me by telling me horrible things that could happen. Then, when it was time to deliver she was very rude to me becuase I couldn't feel anything from the epidural being administered so late. She kept threatening a c-section because I wasn't "pushing" right. Come to find out, my daughter wasn't facing the right way and that's why she wouldn't come out. I would never go back to this clinic again if I knew I was going to have to see her. I even met Dr. Wonderly, who was a great guy. I would recommend both Cherie and Dr. Wonderly, but I don't have anything good to say about Edie. more

Dr. Wonderly was my OB with my first pregnancy and both him and Cherie Henshaw (who is a midwife) were my care providers with my second. My second pregnancy was high risk and I was thrilled with the care that I received. I felt completely confident in Dr. Wonderly's care and Cherie is absolutely wonderful! She is such a sweet woman who really cares about her patients. The staff here is all great and I couldn't imagine a better group of health care professionals. more
