Acadiana Transmission did a great job. They actually took apart something that somebody else had not done a good job with and told me what the problem was. It was broken when I brought it in because of the job done by another shop. A lot of shops don't want to touch something like that. Acadiana Transmission fixed it. They explained what was wrong, and they told me what they were going to do to fix it. The truck is running great. more

Comfortable consultation and quality work. 11/29/2010

There were pluses and minuses. One thing that was difficult for me was their hours because I live out of town. My car ended up with Acadiana Transmission from another mechanic because it is European, but Acadiana closes at 5:00 and they are closed on the weekends. Besides that, I felt very comfortable with the consultation, the advice, and the work they performed. Also, I am sure their prices are market prices. I genuinely enjoyed the time they took with me and the reality of the conversations we had. The only problem was their business hours, and they were not very flexible in that regard. Pleasing, knowledgeable, very satisfying. 11/22/2010

My experience with Acadiana Transmission was great. They were very informative, and no matter how dumb my questions sounded they found a way to answer me. They gave me information about what was going on and why they did what they did. Usually when women go into mechanics they are treated like idiots. They really didn't do that and were very informative. My ex-husband was a mechanic all his life, so I knew what was going on. They answered my questions and didn't lie to me, which has happened to me before. The rebuilt my whole transmission. It is working beautifully. Be honest with them. Ask questions if you don't understand. They realize that you don't know their jargon, so if you need it, they will explain things clearly and in a way you can understand. more
