In the past month, I decided to move from the suburbs to the Captol Hill area and received a number of positive recommendations about The Acacia. Even more recently, I've gotten the opportunity to move to Washington DC to further my career and was apprehensive about contacting TheAcacia to let the property owner know that I wouldn't be able to fulfill my committment. During the process of looking at the property and agreeing to move into the apartment, the property owner made certain to explain all aspects of living in the building and made me feel very comfortable with my decision of where to live. When I called Stig, the property owner, I expressed my disappointment with not being able to live in the building but was hoping for some compassion regarding the security deposit, as I was making him aware of my decision as soon as possible. My hopes were rewarded by being given back my security deposit. I haven't rented much before but I'm fairly certain this is a unique experience. Live at The Acacia if you want to deal with understanding human beings instead of corporate robots who project a lack of soul.
