Best Haircut in Town! 9/3/2008

Thank you carlos! I have been using Carlos for over a year and a half. He has proven to be a great stylist and I wouldnt go anywhere else! Two weeks ago i went in not knowing exactly what I wanted to do with my cut, I had a few ideas and we talked about them for a few minutes and he gave me his personal opinion on what he thought would look GREAT. I went with his suggestion and I could not have been HAPPIER! Carlos takes his time and is honest with his opinion. You wont be disappointed.... more

Thank you! 9/3/2008

Basically my hairstylist fell off the face of the earth. I was in need of someone new. I found Carlos! Thank you universe for letting my old stylist go and letting this one in. Carlos has been a breath of fresh air. My style is current and I get so many compliments. I'm finally that person who gets compliments on my hair! Thanks again Carlos...I will see you in 6 weeks! FROM BLACK TO BLONDE 8/21/2008

One of the most difficult color corrections is to go from black to blonde and the only person I trusted to do this was Carlos. I am a natural blonde but went black last year and had dyed my hair several times. After about 8 months of being black I went to Carlos to bring me back to blonde. I had about 3 colors in my hair: my blonde roots, a slight red color and the black at my tips. On the first trip to the salon we bleached, added toner and highlighted which took about 4 hrs-not to mention blow-dry. 5 days later I came back to have a protein treatment, cut and blow-dry. It took a total of 6 hrs to get my hair back to normal!!! Carlos is wonderful to work with! He is extremely knowledgeable as a colorist and genuinely cares about his clients. He takes his time to get you exactly what you want and I would definitely recommend to anyone! I am very happy with EVERYTHING!!! Thanks Again!!! :) more

I just hope all the great words (which are all true) will not get into his head... ONE of the best thing about Carlos , is his excelent respond to a call, you can count on him! he is VERY talanetd, and he LISTEN to you! he is NOT playing the "know it all Stylist" he get's your personality, and he wants you to be VERY HAPPY! so, main thing i want to say is... carlos, you may grow, and acomplish any dream you have,( your own FAB SALON...) BUT PLEASE DONT EVER CHANGE the way you treat your CUSTUMERS! Thank you carlos sigal more

You could not find a better, more experienced and professional stylist than Carlos! 7/25/2008

I am from Back East and have been going to Carlos on a regular basis for about 4 years...I have long, think, fast-growing hair and he always manages to give me beautiful highlights that look natural and stay that way as they grow out. He always takes his time with me (which is usually multiple hours each time I visit!) and has never canceled an appointment. He is extremely reliable, knowledgeable and honest about his perspective on my various hair style changes. I know that an excellent review means that I risk sharing him with even more people, but he does a fantastic job of managing it all--in two cities now! Thanks very much, Carlos!! :o) Carol more

Best hair stylist and colorist- so wonderful to know him all these years 7/16/2008

I have been a client of Carlos for 10 years now and he is the best colorist and stylist! I've had 3 children during these years and have always made the time to come back (45 minute drive) because no one can do my hair as well. He is so personable, can look at you and tell you what will look good and is always dead on. I get so many compliments every time he does my hair. I am at the point now where I just let him do what he wants because I completely trust him and it always looks great! My mom is the worst client ever and I recommended Carlos to her after she saw how great my hair consistently looked. She's been going religiously to him ever since (8 years) and loves him because he listens and does exactly what she wants with her hair. All the reviews on citysearch speak to how talented Carlos is. Let me add one thing to all the other glowing reviews: Carlos is so nice & genuine you will leave in a terrific mood. Best Colorist! 5/16/2008

I was in Beverly Hills at the beginning of April for a 'mommy makeover' of sorts. I was referred to go to the Cottage to get my hair done as this was one of the things I really wanted to do. I did a little research and decided to see Carlos! He is seriously the best!!!! I went in as a blonde (dark blonde) and came out with beautiful soft dark chocolate brown hair and I love it! He was incredible. Very friendly, gave his honest opinion and was there even afterwards when I had questions. I would totally recommend going to Carlos and when i am in the area again, it is definitely one of my first stops! The staff at the Salon were also great, i felt very welcomed and take care of. If hair had a God.... 3/9/2008

Carlos...synonymous with hair GOD. Bottom line, best colorist I've ever been to! On top of knowing what he's doing, he's very in tune with his clients and can grasp what they want to the tee. Carlos was recommended to me by one of my best friends and I will now recommend him to everyone I know. I went in to see him about 2 weeks ago as a blonde. I've been a blonde my whole life and always thought about going to the dark side but have always been scared to do it. After talking with Carlos a little bit before we got started, I knew he knew exactly the look I was trying to acheive. I had brought in pictures of what I wanted my brunette self to look like and didn't even bother to bring them out - I was that confident that he knew what I wanted. Carlos not only gave me a fabulous color, but an amazing cut. Again, I had brought pictures but didn't bother with them. Carlos made the transition from blonde to brunette seemless and everyone LOVES the color (including lil old me!) All I can say is that your search for the perfect hair stylist, colorist, everything-ist is over once you've been to Carlos. He is PHENOMENAL! xOxO Pros: Carlos Cons: Absolutely nothing. more

Carlos is Fab! 2/23/2008

I recently visited Carlos for the first time and I must say that I finally struck gold. I've been to many different stylists at various salons and discovered that I was never fully satisfied with the cut, style and color until Carlos. Carlos is very friendly and instantly made me feel very comfortable. Carlos actually listened to me and understood what I was trying to achieve. One of the most important factors that I look for in a stylist is someone who can be energetic and creative and Carlos is exactly that person. I was hunting for a new stylist after being disappointed by other stylists in the Bay Area. After seeing all the great reviews for Carlos, I thought he would be a great choice!! I was so right!! My hair looks perfect!! You can totally trust him to give you amazing results!! I also love the fact that I do not have to give him a lot of direction; he just knows what looks awesome and how to give fabulous results!! He is a total Professional!! I was looking for something new...I got exactly that..Carlos was great. You would think as a guy, finding a hairstylist in L.A. would be easy..But I'm very picky. Especially with me hair. If you're looking for that great cut and color... See Carlos! He so knows what's in and makes you feel comfortable. I so can't wait for the next coming months, when I have him put extensions in my hair. I've had other types of hair extenions but haven't tried hairlocs which doesn't require any glue or braiding. For those of us who have had hair extensions and used glue or braiding know, those make your own hair fall out. Hairlocs won't! I'm sooooo excited!!! Pros: Gives a GREAT cut, knows what's in and soooo friendly! Cons: NONE more

I been going to Carlos for about 2.5 yrs now.. and there are only few words that can describe what he " CREATES" ... From coloring to hair cuts , he truly does amazing , awesome , fantastic,,etc job !! And need I say more about his improv.. Carlos Gonzales has been cutting and coloring my hair for 4 years and I've been extremely happy with him. He is responsible, easy to get in touch with, and extremely talented. I have fine, naturally curly hair and it has looked great under his care. He has vision and great ideas but is completely dedicated to achieving the look his customers desire. I have been going to Carlos for over 3 years since I found him on Citysearch after I moved to LA. I look forward to my visits with Carlos, as he always gives me great advice on my hair style and color. His execution is flawless. His wonderful and humorous personality makes my time in his chair fly by! Not only does he do a fantastic job on women's hair but he has also done my boyfriend's hair who was initially apprehensive of a "stylist" doing his hair.
