About Town Livery

BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS! I sure didn't. I had read some other reviews about this company- ripping people off, not showing up- but I decided to take a chance. What a mistake! I called to schedule a ride for my wife to the train station in Littleton (under 2 miles). I was quoted a price of $20 (which seemed high, but was in line with what other taxi companies were quoting) and told I would get a phone call to confirm a day or two before. When we never got a call, my wife called to inquire. The man had no recollection of me making a reservation at first, but later in the call ""remembered."" He told my wife he would pick her up at 5:20am to make the 5:40am train. He gave her an alternate number to call that morning to get a hold of the driver directly. He also tried to raise the rate to $25. The next morning, nobody showed up, nobody?called, nobody picked up the phone at either phone number. My wife missed her train, was left stranded, and ended up having to drive into town and park at Alewife garage (she was going out of town and wanted to leave her car parked at home- that didn't end up working out). This ""company"" seems like little more than a guy with a cell phone and a car. They lost any future business we may have considered with them. BOTTOM LINE: OVERPRICED, UNRELIABLE, NOT TO BE TRUSTED. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! more

The most common complaint regarding this ""taxi"" service is ALWAYS LATE. The second issue is that they aren't reliable. You never know when they will decide to work. If you pay upfront, be cautious! You may lose your money!! more

I got a ride from Corey and he was a very nice guy. The price the taxi company charges are reasonable, and the inside of the cars are always clean, unlike many city cabs I've taken! Pros: Friendly driver, fair prices, clean car more

I had a TERRIBLE experience with these guys. They left me stranded in Boston without any help for getting another ride. The husband was the one I dealt with first to set up the ride. He was the nicest guy. But the wife was another story. She was harsh and unapologetic for the mistake that was made. The customer service was the worst I've ever received. Really. I would go with someone else if I were you. more

This is my first message here, I just wanted to let everyone know that About Town Livery is awsome. I had nothing but good service and very nice and talkative taxi drivers! The car was clean and in really excellent condition. I wanted to go from the Ayer train staion to Nashua, NH, and they did not charge me much. I also asked if they drove to the airports and they said yes! I think that if you live in Ayer, MA (or surrounding towns) and need a ride anywhere that you should call About Town Livery and have a very nice ride.
