Great selection 9/15/2006

For a relatively small space, Aardvark manages to stock an amazingingly large selection. Their prices are good and I love their relaxed and informative staffers. PROS: Great selection, easy public transit, lots of good restaurants nearby CONS: parking! more

Aardvark Books 11/26/2005

Another one of my favorite bookstores, Aardvark Books has a pretty good selection of used and new books. They have a small store but still you can find a real treasure among their stacks. I come back every now and again just to check out their new selection of used books. The staff is very friendly including the cat that mostly sleeps every time Ive been there. more

Aardvark Books is a fantastic used bookstore. They have a great selection of different books in all genres. They also have many out of print books and if you look through you can even find some first editions! The employees are so friendly and helpful,, also knowledgeable about the store. more

Wondeful place for a book store! 9/9/2005

Here's another used book store that I love to go to. This place has some wonderful out of print books and a ton of used books. They can also special order certain titles upon request. The staff is super knowledgeable and can pretty tell you by memory when each author is located in this small shop. It's amazing how many books they can fit into such a small space. Treasure hunters will love this book shop. The neighborhood is wonderful and eclectic here too! more

A good book store in a central location 7/8/2005

It's surprising how few used book stores there are in San Francisco, but Aardvark has to be in the top five. It is very centrally located, it's near to pretty much anything, and it has a very decend selection. It's not the greatest used book store in the world, it's no Strand, and it's doesn't even to compare to Green Apple, but it definitely does hold its own. more

Has a great selection of books in some of the more obscure subject matters, such as philosophy and folklore. more

Nice and Cozy 5/19/2002

Not the sort of bookstore you could spend hours in, but one that's great to browse through after dinner at Chow. They stock a good selection of readerly magazines as well, and i've found a few gems in the poetry sections. more
