If you need a limo or luxury car for a special occassion, I highly recommend talking to Carrie at Blue Diamond. There are some questionable limo companies out there -- especially A TOUCH OF CLASS LIMOUSINE. VERY UN-CLASSY (ncclassylimodotcom), if you ask me --- and thank goodness...Carrie at Blue Diamond earned my trust and my business. \r
\r
I had originally booked TOUCH OF CLASS, but when I called and started reconfirming the charges and tips etc, with the general manager Willie Vogg, he got very defensive and said I was ""looking for problems!"" (what???). Then said, "" I would prefer you rent somewhere else, I'm cancelling your service."" Our event was in 4 days!!\r
\r
Luckily, Carrie had something available and the service was excellent. \r
\r
Carrie explained her charges again and again to me -- and didn't have a problem reiterating why the charged what they did. (and I asked a lot of questions...more on charges and prices later though). She promised great service, a clean limo, was upfront about everything and she delivered on all counts. \r
Our driver, Brian was on time, personable, professional, and attentive -- making our birthday celebration even more special. He knew Downtown Raleigh very well and we felt like we were in great hands all night. \r

PRICE: Blue Diamond is comparable to othe companies, but the ""free hour"" is confusing.\r
They promise a free hour of service, but in the end, 5 hours at Blue Diamond cost the same amount as 5 hours at another company. We paid $395 for 5 hours which breaks down to $80 an hour -- but that INCLUDED TIP AND A GAS SURCHARGE. The other companies quote you 70 an hour ....but then tell you you have to pay 15-20% for the tip....which comes out to about $400 anyway. (70 x 5= $350 PLUS TIP = $400-$420). So it winds up being the same....however, I would book Blue Diamond over anyone else b/c Carrie really delivered on her promises -- and has earned her great reputation because of it. :)
