I had my pool refinished by AAA Ballance pool. From the first meeting Randy Ballance really to the time to explain my choices. Repaired my cracked pool 3/4/2009

In 06 we contracted Clasic Tile and plaster to repair our cracked pool. The sales rep told us that Pebble tech was the best way to fix the pool. We'll 10,000 dollars, and 6 mounths later the cracks were back loosing water. The pump burnt up from water loss. I found AAA Ballance Pools on this site. Mr Ballance came out and really took the time to set down and explaned, how using fiberglass would be the only pool surface that could handle the movement . Now I had already felt like I had been burnt before. Mr Ballance understood our situation and offered to do the work needed without the deposit that other contractors asked for. They compleated the work in a timely manor. About 10 days. I am glad to say the for the past year, we havent had any isues with the pool! Infact I have found the fiberglass to be alot easyer to keep clean. Great job!\r Ron\r \r \r Pros: The fiberglass is easyer to take care of then plaster. more

Took the money and ran 12/26/2008

In November 2008 ran off with about $10,000 of my money and left pool shell with no plumbing and moat of mud all the way around my pool (and yard). Did not return phone calls or emails. Would strongly not recommend this company. Cons: required 1/2 money up front more

Bad Work, Bad Material, NO WARRANTY 9/11/2007

Refinished inside of pool with epoxy material. Contractor finished in late May and was paid. Next day, pool being filled and contractor came to inspect. Noticed material turning white. Found out he used expired clear coat that did not catalyze properly. It stayed sticky and would not set up. Contractor decided to drain pool, leave it empty and get second opinion. His expert also said material was bad. Contractor promised to ""make it right."" He has not returned calls, refuses our mail and has never been back. It is now Sep 07. Pool is still empty. Sun has blistered, discolored and cracked the material. Now taking bids on refinishing pool with plaster. It will cost >$2000 to remove epoxy material from pool. We paid >$1500 for the epoxy coating than the most expensive plaster material bid received, not including cost of removing the epoxy. This is a bad contractor who did not do a good job and has not fixed his bad work. Pros: The material itself is fabulous; pool was gorgeous when done Cons: Material must be applied by contractor who is EXPERT or bad results more
