Avoid this company. The South Pasadena address is fake. God knows where their offices actually are, but I know from having used them last month how bad they are. They pulled every shady movers' trick in the book, it was almost cartoonish. more

I was moving just a block from my old residence and the A-Team lost two of my boxes from a small moving truck...not van. But that's only a small part of how bad this company is - they damaged two pieces of furniture, punched holes in my walls and gouged me for more money before taking my things off the truck. They put 80% of the boxes in the wrong rooms, complained about how heavy they were and crushed, dropped and manhandled everything. When I asked the movers about the holes in the walls they said they were only responsible for the boxes and furniture (65 cents per pound) not the damage to my walls. After reporting the loss of my boxes to the police they miraculously appeared on a truck. Even after the boxes showed up it took two days of calling and pleading to get any response. And the response was rude, insensitive and arrogant. They promised to bring them the same day they found them but never showed up. The next day they said they would bring them by noon and again they didn't show up or call. Finally after dozens of calls and more attitude from the company, I had to meet the driver at a clandestine destination to finally get my boxes. And it comes as no surprise that many of my valuables were missing. I just don't understand all the good reviews when I felt like I was raped by a company that blamed me for the loss. (They didn't apologize or say they were sorry, they said I should have checked the truck. Not their movers...me!) I can tell you the movers for the most part were pleasant and at first I didn't notice the damage but after I looked closer I realized the depth of their incompetence and malice. If you value your belongings and don't want to be ripped off DON'T EVER USE OR RECOMMEND this nightmare of a company. more

We had a short move from a downtown apartment to midtown. We chose A-Team Movers Pasadena in South Pasadena because they were recommended by a friend, and were also the lowest priced we found. These guys were fast, courteous, and did everything possible to protect our stuff. We were shocked that the move was completed so quickly. We had minor damage to our bed, and when I pointed it out to them, they offered to pay the entire cost of the repair, well beyond what we should were insured for. It absolutely was my first move, so naturally I've lot and lots of questions, and all sorts of were answered patiently through the very patient Christi who won my business with the professionalism. Every little detail she gave me and my husband when we conference called in regards to the hourly price and extra cost of supplies, was a big help on the move day. We were packed and ready for the movers, and had an easy, surprise free move. Well, no bad surprises anyway. We used A-Team Movers Pasadena movers for the past 15 years. Their packers were and quick and very careful. I used them to pack my 2 bedroom home and I thought it would take them at least 10 hours. They were done in 4 hours with 2 packers. A-Team Movers Pasadena moving crew and also top notch. Movers were running 15 minutes late and called me to let me know that they were stuck in traffic. I hired A-Team Movers to move me on Saturday. Based on the friends recommendation, I knew that they would at least show up-which was my main concern. My initial phone call lowered my ""moving anxiety level"" considerably. The day before the move, the lead man on the job called me to discuss the move and furthered the lowering of my anxiety. On the morning of the move day, they showed up promptly and went straight to work. I know that there are issues with nefarious movers ""milking the clock"". That was a great surprise! I never though it would be such a smooth move to my new apartment. I was very excited about moving but was quite stressed. Flat rate managed to work around my schedule and changed the start time a few times until everything worked out between the buildings and my schedule.
