I have now had two of my vehicles serviced by ATW and I'm happy to say that I have finally found the only mechanic that I will take my cars to from now on. The service all the way around was wonderful and I just couldn't be happier!!!! I also love to support family run businesses and you begin to feel like family there! more

I cannot say enough positive things about the professional and service offered by Tony and his team at ATW. I own a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder LE, and there was a nation-wide lawsuit and settlement for defects in radiators, where fluids were leaking into transmissions. My car, unfortunately, was not under the warranty (156K miles). When I received a quote to repair my transmission at the dealer, I was quoted over $12,000, which included their quote to also replace my timing chain (which was not needed to repair, by the way). It was clear that Nissan was trying to steer me toward purchasing a new car, and was not interested in my current problem. I then took my car to a reputable shop in mid-town, and received a quote of $7,500 for a new transmission with only a one-year warranty; or I could get a rebuilt for 5,000 with a one-year warranty. Finally, I did my research and called ATW. The reviews were excellent through Google and Yelp, so I decided to take a chance. The concern for my issue and my financial limitations were at the forefront of the conversation. Not only was my car towed in and immediately accessed, but I was given a price quote that COULD NOT BE BEAT -- Under 4,000K! During the time for repair, I was kept apprised of my car's needs and progress, and was treated like I matted! This shop is awesome -- can't say enough! Thank you ATW!\r more

Tony and his crew at ATW did a rebuild of my transmission and had it done in 2 days at a price that was $500 to $600 dollars cheaper than other places I had inquired to. And it is not a cheap vehicle when it comes to repairs. Thanks Tony, I will recommend your place to anyone who needs work done on their cars.\r more

Highly recommended. Tony knows transmissions and is very qualified. He rebuilt my transmission in less than 2 days. He has good methodologies on how to rebuild transmissions and not to take short cuts. His pricing is very good. Also his building where he performs services is very large with a clean room like office inside the building where the transmissions are rebuilt. I had my transmission replaced by the folks at ATW about 6 months ago. I have waited to write this review to make sure all was well after some time with the transmission in my vehicle. When I brought my Yukon in to ATW, Tony went out of his way to show me around the shop and to explain the whole process to me. He then finished the job when promised and at the price I was quoted. Came to ATW to get my transmission rebuilt, the guys their were pretty helpful, and very reasonably price. They got the job done and was very happy with their services. This is a good place to bring in your car for transmission repair I mean they were extremely helpful to me and explained thoroughly what had to be done in order to have my car up and running. The rates were pretty fair and affordable. I recommend this shop to anyone.\r more

I had to unexpectedly get the transmission replaced in my car. While I wasn't happy about how much it cost, it was definitely cheaper than going to the dealer, and the service was fast and friendly. Plus, they threw in several extras, like having my car cleaned - interior and exterior - at no extra cost, and changing a few light bulbs. Their pricing was more than reasonable and their customer service top-notch. It is worth driving a little further to experience their friendly and professional service.\r more

My car broke down when I found out it was the transmission I took it to Lew and his crew at ATW. Lew kept in contact with me from day 1 and stayed in contact, taking me through each step, each issues, every cost, etc. There was never a moment that I wondered what was going on - a great relief for ANYONE dealing with car problems. I had my transmission go out at the worst time possible, Right before Christmas. As a single mom a dependable car is essential in making it to work on time & keep a roof over our heads. I say the ATW ad in the yellow pages and called. Lew was awesome, he helped me get my car towed to the shop at a better than reasonable price, walked me thru every step of the diagnosis and repair explaining the ins & outs. I had gotten a quote from another shop prior to choosing ATW. Lew said he'd beat the price & he exceeded my expectation with the total cost. Once my car was fixed I was having issues finding a ride to go pick up my car. Tony @ ATW picked me up from home and gave me a ride. These guys go above and beyond. I was searching for a place to get my transmission fixed. I looked from San Jose all the way to Sacramento. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW GREAT THIS PLACE IS. I got a transmission, flex plate, torque converter, a two year warranty, and a tow from Vacaville; all for less than what I would've paid anywhere else. My car broke down in a BAD area and my young daughter and I were about an hour away from home. I called ATW and Fleet Services and one of their workers came to wait with my daughter and me until the tow truck arrived, which was under a half an hour, since they called it in for me! I knew I was in for a BIG repair bill but was surprised when they produced a bill that was well below what I expected. Our repair was pushed up as a priority, since they knew we lived an hour away and wanted to make sure we got home before dark. They even offered us snacks and beverages and turned on a big screen TV for my daughter while we waited.\r more

The automatic transmission in my daughter's 2001 Honda Civic was nearly dead - WE had checked with some mechanics who quoted her some rebuild costs - all very high, especially for a 12 year old car. I did some Internet searching and found ATW and Fleet in Rancho Cordova. ATW is a transmission rebuilder - it's a big shop and does lots of transmissions rebuilds. I called the owner (Tony) and discussed my problem - he gave me a preliminary quote if a complete rebuild was needed - the price was excellent and I took the car to his shop the next morning for an assessment. As expected, a rebuild was needed (the car had 150K miles). Tony gave me a tour of the rebuild shop, discussed how he does business (experienced staff and 1st quality parts) and said he could have the work done in one day. I agreed and he got started; he called me in a couple of hours with the final cost estimates - everything was very professional and costs were reasonable. At the end of the day the Civic transmission had been rebuilt, installed and the car was working like new. He did a great job at a very reasonable price - much less than the other quotes. Finding ATW was very fortunate for me and I recommend that anyone with a car transmission problem give Tony a call and talk to him about it. The call doesn't cost anything and if you have him do the work I'm confident you'll be very pleased with the quality of his work, his way of doing business and his prices.\r more
