ARBAT TV Repair

My picture instantly went out on my Samsung 46"" TV. Mike came out and found a hard to find capacitor that was bad. Instead of replacing the whole board he was able to get the correct capacitor. I am sure he saved me a couple of hundred dollars by just replacing the small part instead of putting in a whole new board. Highly recommend Mike from Arbat! more

First comment is to john4567 A & K is the most un-reputable company I have ever dealt with. One price and then overcharge when they do the work. \r Now regarding Arbat TV. Mike is fantastic, excellent work, price and customer satisfaction. Highly recommended. Will call them anytime and trust them explicitly. I leave in Florida but found Arbat TV service for my mom who lives in Katy TX, I explained the problem with her TV on the phone and technician was able to give me an estimate. He new exactly what was going on with her TV and promised to take care of her as soon as possible. Next day I received a call from my mom with a good news. Great service, very reasonable price. We had a 1 yr old Samsung 50"" flat screen that was flickering. Of course, it was just out of warranty. Tech knew the problem, had it fixed in 15 min for half the cost of samsung's certified repair company. more

I am sending in a review just because even if Arbat was not able to service me because I live out of the Houston area, it was the fact that they tried to be helpful and steer me in the right direction to get the part I needed for my tv. Mike from Arbat quickly responded to our repair needs for our projection TV at a time that fit our schedule. Not only did he fix our TV problem, he also explained what the problem was and then reconfigured our wiring to enhance our image quality. I strongly recommend their service. more

I hired Arbat to fix my broken 46-in Sony TV. They diagnosed the problem over the phone, ordered a part, told me it would take about a week for the part to come in. They called me within 5 days to let me know they had the part. They came to my house that same day and fixed my TV. Great service, great price, did what they promised. I called Arbat TV and initially was told they did not service Sharp TVs. However, that evening I received an e-mail suggesting they could help anyway. I called again and the matter was resolved immediately. This operation is good, helpful and honest. If anything goes wrong again with any of my TVs, Arbat is the first place I'm going to call! I was discouraged and ready to toss out my big screen Mitsubishi. Then I found these reviews. Tech answered my call promptly. Offered fair opinion and fair repair price on my Mitsubishi. I was amazed at how quickly the problem was identified and reasonable repair cost given. Repairs were finished early and I was watching TV within 48 hours. Cost was not higher than expected and TV is flawless. Rarely do you find honest straight forward work these days. All of these reviews were right on. OUTSTANDING!!!! I have never really trusted auto repair shops and TV service repairmen - until I found Mike. Long story short. My DPL TV quick working. Found Arbat, who could actually come out on the same day. Although still under warranty, Mitsubishi did not want to pay me because I had not contacted ""one of their service representatives."" I had really lost any hope of being reimbursed from Mitsubishi just from my dealings with them. Paid Mike the full price of the repair (over $500). Mike went far above and beyond his responsibility of working with Mitsubishi even after he had already been paid and he got reimbursed for me! I just received a check from him yesterday for the total cost of repair. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? He was honest enought to send me the $$$ that I had no way of knowing he had ever received. Don't bother looking for anyone else to fix your TV. I called on a Saturday @ 1:00, they said they'd be there by 4. Mike was here at 4, had the bulb I needed for a 52"" DLP LG TV, and fixed it in 30 minutes. Then he proceeded to hook up everything (PS3, DVR, cable, stereo), and made sure everything worked. Very reliable company, I can't speak highly enough about them, if you need your TV repaired, call ARBAT, and you won't be disappointed. I searched the internet, and found many companies to choose from, but everyone said it'd be a week or so to come out, and most of the reviews I read were mediocre to bad, but after reading the other reviews on this site, everything written was true- like I said, don't bother searching for another company. I hate surprises when it comes to in home appliance repair - it normally means that I will be disappointed in the level of service, the price of the service, or the timeliness of the service. ARBAT was able to schedule us quickly for a repair (same day as the call), diagnose the problem, and repair during the house call (roughly 3 hours). The charge for the repair was fair for the work done (less than $400) - he also extended 10% for making an online appointment and performed convergence and cleaning as apart of the repair. (side note: 3 years ago we asked Tweeter how much it would cost to perform convergence and cleaning on our projection TV and they quoted us $500 for this service alone.) I am glad to say that there were no surpises in the repair of our 5 year old projector Mitisubishi TV. I have added ARBAT to my list of trusted repair providers. My older tube television stopped producing a picture except for a bright white horizontal line. I am fairly mechanically inclined and was able to determine that the vertical deflection chip in the tv was the problem. While I can usually make fairly simple repairs I didn't feel comfortable cracking the tv open to try and find the location of the bad chip. The TV is also quite heavy so I was discouraged from taking it to a repair facility. I located Arbat in home repair service and set an appointment. Technician showed up on time. I showed him the TV and he immediately started to disassemble the set to perform diagnostics. He located the vertical deflection unit and found that the problem was a dry joint (the solder on the chip had become disconnected.) He produced a soldering gun and had the problem fixed in no time. The entire appointment took about 15 minutes. I felt that the price of $120.00 was extremely fair. I also would like to mention that the repair man was very honest. My problem was fairly simple and cheap to fix. He could have told me that there were other problems with the set and replaced other parts and I never would have known the difference. I don't think I could have gotten the problem fixed for that amount if I had taken it to a repair shop. I will be using these folks again if I ever have a problem with a television.
