Todd of AMS Appliance Service is someone I would totally trust and recommend for knowledgeable, professional and honest consultation and work. I have left the house and had him lock up after a dryer vent cleaning. He recommended this instead of repairing a too slow to dry dryer. The dryer is now drying super fast. I sent him to my elderly moms house to check her 13 yr. old washer/dryer.They made noises after we moved them. He checked them thoroughly, found nothing physically wrong and just charged for the visit. He installed a new disposal for me in about 30 minutes. Gave a great guarantee and cleaned up and took the old one away. He's always on time. Answers and returns calls fast. I feel very fortunate to have found him 4 years ago. Called Todd w/ AMS Appliance because I needed cooktop and microwave service. I heard back from him quickly and was able to schedule an appointment within a quite reasonable amount of time. He arrived on time, yeah! Explained to me that the cooktop did not need repair. Seemed that an electronic ignition had probably just gotten too wet and needed to dry out. Yes, he explained this to me and told me that the cooktop was working just fine. Thank you! I needed a part ordered for the microwave. Todd arrived a few days later (as schedule and on time) and replaced the part. He was pleasant, professional, clean and not running hours-to-days late with fifteen excuses! Only problem, I did not check on ""parts cost."" The replacement turntable for my microwave actually costs, I believe, about $43.00 - $50.00. I was charged $216.00 for the replacement turntable drive motor. I did not realize this until after service was completed. My fault, I agreed to the price up front. Lesson learned, do a little ""parts cost"" research and ask up front! more
