While at the lanes my kids & I overheard another guest who later turned out to be the pro-shop operator speaking very openly about recreational drug use and being promiscuous. After observing this man on the lanes, then in the pro-shop I asked the front desk who he was. They told me his name was Darryl. For my children to question me about some of the things he was mentioning I was very embarrassed. How do you explain to a 6 yr old & a 9 yr old what the meaning of "weed" and other words I will not mention are. I can assure you that the local schools & churches will be advised of the disturbance that you employee there!! more

Reviews Write a review \r Your rating: \r Your rating: Hated it \r \r Your website says "Call for lane availability and reservations" however when you call at 5:30pm the person anwsering the phone states that you do not take reservations and that there may not be any lane availability until 9:00pm. She also stated that they were on a wait list now. I asked if we could be added to the waitlist and was informed that you must be at the center to be placed on the waitlist. Really! I really have to go and sit in your bowling center for 3 and half hours with 5 kids in order to be placed on the waitlist? This poor advertising and customer service. We try to go bowling a couple of times a month and always take a large party when we go. To be honest I dont think we will be visiting your bowling center any more, nor will I recommend this facility to any of my friends. Great Bowling - Less than diserable women's bathroom... 1/5/2009

the bowling area is great - and offers non-smoking hours during the day on the weekends...\r The bathrooms are always gross...I've asked for toilet seat covers for YEARS...it would save them a ton of tp that I use to line the seats :) more

STRIKE! 1/5/2009

I usually have a great experience here. I've gone with friends, family, and have even chaperoned several middle school field trips here. Overall it is a great time. Some of the staff are cranky, but most are nice. Plan ahead on weekends as it gets CROWDED. more

Bowling Alley 4/13/2008

Carolina Lanes is a family oriented bowling center located in Matthews. We used to take our kids here for lots of bowling parties when they were young. The lanes are always crowded and the place gets packed. The older kids like to go here for the Midnight bowling. more
