The amc star is a great theater. The stadium seats are very comfortable. The sound and picture quality of the theater is pretty good. The bathrooms are kept clean for the most part..and the ticket prices are pretty reasonable. The concessions are really nice. There are a lot of choices including smoothies. Very nice theater. Excellent theater to see a movie. But what I really like is the great atmosphere and the camaraderie. Lots of great vendor to browse around after the show. Great people have a fun time at the movies. Pros: Varieties of Vendor, Excellent Concession, Good Parking Cons: Expensive Concession more

Amid the plenty of Hollywood props and larger than life atmosphere there is an indifference to their customers throughout the operation. Check the door handles and glass upon entry and you'll find the same shabbiness everywhere. Popcorn and refuse flowing from overstuffed trash barrels, staff who would rather be anywhere but at their jobs and invisible management who must condone all the above. But why work so hard when the lines are long and the patrons keep returning. Sensing the unlikely turnaround in cleanliness and service, I'd like to see a major, service oriented competitors very nearby... perhaps losing customers in droves will get Star Southfield's attention.
