I have ADT for three years now and I good with its services. Sometimes there are false alarms but ADT is great in providing its services to its customers.

got an alarm system 12/8/2010

We contacted ADT and got an alarm system installed. The installer was good and he arrived on time. The system is easy to learn and even my kids learned how to use it. Thank you ADT installer for the little lecture. more

Bad business people 11/28/2010

Great monitoring people, but business people, Lord Help Us! I found out today, after almost four months of simply trying to get my mailing address correct on my new primary residence that they have disconnected my monitoring at my vacation home, due to not paying my bill. I tried very hard to help them understand the bill is paid through my credit card and has been for the past 10 years. They said they have been mailing me notices about the problem and trying to call me. I finally figured out they were mailing and calling to my vacation home which does not have mail service and no one lives there to answer the phone! After 10 years they still can't get this figured out! I told them mailing something to the physical address of my vacation home is like mailing a letter to Santa at the North Pole and wondering why he doesn't answer it! IT DOES NOT EXIST!! We moved our primary residence three months ago and signed up for ADT again. I now get solicitation calls from them asking if we want to sign up. Unbelievable. If I had not just spent hundreds of dollars having them install new stuff, I would drop them like a hot potato. more

Reliable and Quick 11/26/2010

We had an ADT alarm system installed last month. Installation was done well and the alarm service is working perfect. We love the chime feature that lets us know when the kids are coming and going. I never thought I would come to rely on this system so quickly. more

i decided not to continue 11/23/2010

Customer Service is TERRIBLE. I had a ""first call"" appointment scheduled from 8:00 - 9:00 am today. At 9:00 am I called ADT to find out why the technician had not shown up on time just to discover that they double booked thier ""first call"" appointments. No, first call appointments mean that you are the FIRST appointment for that day. I took off work (my work day starts at 6:30 am) to wait for the 8:00 am appointment. Its 10:17 am and no one has shown up yet. Thats 1/2 day of time off and is unacceptable. Oh, and the best part, they still want to charge me the $25 service charge fee for the technician to come to my house 3 hours late. What choice do I have but to pay it? Well, come 4 more months I will have a choice, to not continue service with ADT and I will go with the different service company. Update: Customer service finally responded positively offering a full apology and two free months of service. It doesn't mean that I'm happy with ADT, especially after the rate increase in the middle of my contract period, but I do appreciate their attempt to make the situation right. more
