ADT

ADT does not delliver on protection or on customer service. ADT received no signal from our home from October 2010 until we called them in January because we realized a contractor had cut a wire. We asked why they had not checked on us or our home to make sure we were okay. They had no answer. We asked them to send someone out to get the system working so that they could deliver on protecting our home. No one showed up. We called and asked for a refund for the time they were not protecting our home. They refused. We called Comcast to ask for help. They responded immediately and were out the next day. They put their home protection system in and it works flawlessly. We have inadvertently set off the alarm twice. Both times they responded within seconds. We feel secure in our home. Now, we just want our money back from ADT! Beware of this company. They don't even deserve one star, but the rating system requires that as a minimum! more

Whenever I am at work I feel safe and at the same time enjoy my work since ADT security cameras are there to secure and protect my home from unwanted danger. It had it for already 3 months and the services' quality hasn't changed. more

They are one of the best companies that is offering security services and I think that we have got a really good deal, and the services are also very commendable. ADT is my second alarm company and they are terrible. I have had nothing but headaches right from the begining. They didn't set my account up correctly. They overcharged me for my monthly fee. The alarm system lost all it's programming for some strange reason and no one could fix it over the phone so they sent a technician out for $200. A supervisor told us that it would be no charge and two weeks later we get a bill for $216.00. We called the corporate office and they claim that we need to talk to the local office. We call the local office and get voicemail. Additionally, ADT sent us a bill after the first year of our contract saying they were raising our rates. Even though we have a contracat stating a certain price. They are ripoff artists. more

ADT has always been a very professional company that has given me exactly what I contract for. It isn't always the cheapest, but they have never tried to 'scam' me either. They may offer additional capabilities (extra control panels, etc.) at normal costs, but everything has always been at face value. I consider ADT to be the consummate alarm company, but like all others will have customers that aren't happy (due to a fault of ADT, their sales force, installer, or the fault of the customer). more
