It’s a simple security system but a little expansive compared to the other home alarm providers. It’s a very standard alarm system that covers the basics: i.e. a keypad, window and door sensors and motion detectors. The motion detector doesn’t work too well with Pets, so the false alarms are a bit high. more

ADT's critical conditions system saved my family and house when my 6 year old son Micah tried to cook fries while I was taking a nap. The heat sensor triggered a fire alarm in the kitchen and a fire truck came in time to stop the fire from spreading. more

In today's society, rarely does a company provide outstanding service and put the customer first. Well, I would like to thank your representative Carlos Watson for demonstrating extraordinary customer service. I was truly dazzled by the whole experience. Mr. Watson did everything possible to assist me with obtaining the ADT equipment; I was especially impressed that it was no longer about who got the sale but the protection for my home. He demonstrated so much SOUL (service on unbelievable levels). Mr. Watson was wonderful to work with. I was delighted to be on the phone with someone whose knowledge, respect, and sense of humor made this ordeal much less challenging. I was so glad that he was easy to understand and that he was able to explain what caused the problems with the installation and the reason why I could not purchase from Gaylord Securities. Thank you for hiring people like Mr. Watson and having them available to help your customers. He has truly created a fan. more

Expensive and low quality. Definitely not the right security system for anybody. more

Before I had my ADT Security System, I was hesitant to leave my kids at home when I'm at work. I am a single parent and nobody except for my mother could watch over my kids. \r A friend of mine told me about ADT and I immediately searched it up the internet and found great things about their system.\r I've been with ADT Security for a year, no encountered HUGE problems and no plans on disconnecting whatsoever. \r Great security service! more

My mother, who is 76, a cancer survivor and hard of hearing, recently relocated to FL from up north. ADT was on her in a day. The installer told her the neighborhood was bad and she really needed their service. (I was there). This guy left behind paperwork of another customer; including her name, address, phone number AND social security number; which he never returned to get. My mom decided to cancel her service within the 3-day time limit, but since then..(March, 2010), she has been threatened..harrassed by some made up collections company, and has called me in tears too many times. She paid the installation fee, and then canceled, and has since paid nothing. We have called and emailed no less than 25 times, and they STILL have not picked up this worthless contraption they installed in her home. Definitely taking this to the Attorney General, as this seems to be their practice and pattern; harrassing, threatening and using their home-base taught scare tactics on the elderly. more

I've used ADT's alarm systems for many years and I've always been very happy with their service. I recently moved my daughter into her first off-campus apartment and we made sure to have an ADT system installed for her. more
