never again will use ADT 3/10/2013

I was renting a home and signed up for ADT after I had been burglarized. I signed the three year contract and everything was fine until the home rental I was renting sold and I had to move. After my move I found out that ADT does not transfer their services. I was given the choices of continuing to pay the monthly fee with out being able to use their services, transfer them to my new place and resign a new contract with them or pay a $700 cancellation fee. They were inconsiderate and absolutely horrible to work with. I feel they ripped me of just like the initial robbery. i will never use their services again. more

good quotes 2/27/2013

Most quotes I got were around the £900 mark plus the £300 or so a year for maintenance and monitoring costs. The ADT package I got was around £25/month which includes 2 service visits and full monitoring. more

quick and clean installation 2/24/2013

He did the work quickly and cleanly and made a small change to the installation plan to ensure best protection. The idea of a monitored alarm is that, instead of a noisy bell ringing outside and being ignored, a central office receives an alert about the alarm system and takes the necessary action. Before calling the police or whoever out they will try to contact the householder to establish that there hasn’t been a false alarm. more

The ADT service has been very accommodating to my home and prompt service has been given when the alarm system has sounded. ADT is a very valueable service to have for your safety. The service technician, Chris was extremely knowledgeable and repaired my service in a very short period of time. I would highly recommend the ADT service for safety in your home. clear audio 1/18/2013

Since July 2008 I owned an ADAT ADT-200A. I tested the transceiver on my Optibeam and it works very good. It has a clear audio and the filters works precise and sharp. The reports on the band are always good. One of the best QSOs was Ecuador with 50 watt. Also the predistortion of the TX signal works well. It is a good digital transceiver without the need of a pc. I hope that within the next firmware, Hans implement some new features. He does a fine job ! more

I have been with ADT going on 11 years. I had the system installed because of a psycho next door neighbor (they have since moved - thank God) and this system has been my life saver not to mention my peace of mind. Unbiased - I am completely happy with them. Their response time is excellent and their customer service has always been prompt with helping me with billing questions, referrals or upgrades to my current system. more

We had an ADT alarm system installed last month. Installation was done well and the alarm service is working perfect. We love the chime feature that lets us know when the kids are coming and going. I never thought I would come to rely on this system so quickly. more

viable contracts 11/4/2012

They have variable length contracts from 1 to 3 years (for most alarm companies, shortest is 3 years), AND, you own the equipment after the contract period (which is relatively insignificant anyway as far as price of an overall average system). more

I had a really good experience with this company. This dealer is very professional and is very knowledgable. He took the time to go through the product and services and made sure I understand and comfortable with the purchase. He made great recommendations that saved us money. The installer was also very nice and professional. He came out to the house to install it next day. Great customer service! more

not fuinctional 10/13/2012

They said it's my responsibility to test the alarm. Well unless I test the alarm nightly I have no way of knowing if it's working at their call center. I purchased the alert button for my elderly mother since I travel a lot and she has been really home alone since the service I've been paying for does not work. I now have to pay for a technician to come out and figure out why their wireless service is not functional. more

ADT has done a great job keeping me safe! When I got my first job and moved away from home, my parents “strongly encouraged” me to get a security system since I would be alone and didn’t know anyone in the neighborhood. I haven’t had any problems and I sleep better knowing that ADT is watching out for me. more

Wow, I guess I am lucky. I have been with ADT for 13 years and have had great service and complete peace of mind. This is a great company and I would recommend them several times over. I would like to see this company go on and create good things. more
