Besides, with ADT you have seven day a week, twenty-four hour a day home monitoring that is staffed by actual people, not computers or automated systems.

Worst

They are not good. very expensive and the customer service is really bad. I have to cancel mine. I called once and all they have to say is we will check into it.

Small domestic pets like dogs and cats usually trigger alarms, but ADT's high-grade sensor will not detect them. Much reliable system. more

I could not imagine life without having ADT. Ever since, my parents had a home security and up to now, we still have it. All these 8 years, we did not have any worries. Thank you ADT for keeping us protected! more

From start of the installation until the end, the contractor never gave us any uncomfortable time. He was thorough in his explanation about the home security and he treated us good as well. more

Sticking with them 9/8/2011

We have been customers of ADT home security since 2007 and we are still sticking with them. The feeling is very different and it is nice to feel that we are always secured. more

Everything was transferred for free 12/8/2010

My family just moved in to our new home and we contacted ADT to transfer our home security system to our new house. We had it for free because of their “Mover’s Security Guarantee”. We’ve been with ADT for 3 years and that’s why we had it for free. They even transferred our security cameras and all, connected everything… I mean everything was transferred! more

SAVED $1,500 and this is a lot of money. you can never get this much savings in other home alarm systems. You have to try it.,. more

doesn't give false alarms 11/17/2010

I have 2 dogs at home and that made me hesitant to get an ADT Security system but, as I browsed through their website, they said that it doesn't give false alarms for dogs and motion detector knows if it is a person or a dog. So far, no false alarms occurred. more

experience with ADT 11/3/2010

Watch this story about what happened to me and see what you think about ADT now. This company took divantage of me and put my home at risk - they were the cause of my home being burglarized and I will never trust their company again! I can't believe the deliberate disreguard to my safety. ADT does not proactively monitor your system - if your system fails to send a signal when there's a break in then tough cookies for you! ADT does not watch your system every 5 min like you would think they would. more

affordable plan for me 10/30/2010

I was referred to an ADT salesman, who arrived and assessing the situation, came up with an affordable plan for me. I signed an agreement for the plan, and the next day a technician arrived and installed the alarm. He then made sure I understood how to arm and disarm the system. I was also given easy to follow step-by-step instructions and a video. They do want to make sure you understand the system. They want to avoid 'false' alarms, and you are only allowed three a year, before they won't monitor you anymore. Seems false alarms cost money and police time. more
