I was comparing several HVAC companies and saw ABC had good ratings. So, I called and went with them. When I talked to one of the customer service she told me that their HVAC is $99. So, I thought what a great deal. I even went over the price with the customer service & clarify with her. She told me that each of my HVAC maintenance with coupon would be $60 & total of $120 for both. She even told me that there would be an email picture of the HVAC tech that would be sent to my email and I would get a call from the guy. My apmt was set from 9a-12p. Well what happened was that they never sent me an email pix like I was told or got a call from the HVAC guy. I literally had to call the company to make sure the HVAC guy was coming. Well the customer service was the one who called me after I talked to them. Then the HVAC guy Eric came out about 1 hour late. He didn't have the courtesy to ensure the pricing with me. Then I found out he was only 2 years experienced. Seeing him do my service I was sketchy that this HVAC technician was not at all good. So, I had to stop him to do my 2nd HVAC. Then when it came to charging me, he told me it would be $139 with $40 off would be $100. I had to call the company & complain about their false advertising to customer over the phone, and they gave me for $69 after I complained. If I had known what the exact price is, I would never have called for the service to be sent out to my house. Not only that, Eric tried to tell me that my humidification was not set up right and try to sell me to get my humidification fixed up for $357. Such a crock of lies this company is. I was intending to refer this company to several of my workers at work, but I am glad I see the bad experience & will never use them again! Or recommend this company to any of my friends. more

Neighbors had a problem with there plumbing, they called ABC, for 2 days tractor in there front yard plumbers had no clue then they moved to the back of house . Then they placed there heavy equipment on my property no permits on my side and wrecked a section of the yard told me there was no fee for me well I am not dumb I have no problems it was the neighbor, well then ABC wanted to put a pcv liner in the clay pipe,that is a shared line. They know that I am the owner so they waited until I left and told my daughter to sign so they could go and get a building permit she told them No! They said we got to get the work done well she signed no big deal because it's not legal! I was told so next morning went to the village of palatine to have it removed. Called the plumbers that we have they came right out did a camera drop to pipe and there were absolutely no problems got a DVDs from them. Everyone do yourself a favor when messing with a project like this get second opion could save you lots! This all started at the beginning of May 2015 and I am still awaiting for them to apologize and clean up there mess. I heard if I wanted to peruse with this I could no building permitt no digging! And my clean out drains are not the neighbors so why would he touch them going to put locks on them. Need a plumber call around find somebody that knows what they are doing, don't get taken more

Josh I from ABC was absolutely fantastic! We had to have all 3 of our furnaces replaced and he showed up when promised, was extremely professional and stayed on a Friday night until the job was completed. He left the basement cleaner then it was when he arrived. Everything works perfectly and you would not even know he was in the house. He took the old furnaces too. I would highly recommend ABC and specifcally Josh!\r Scott more

If you EVER NEED Plumbing Heating or Cooling, PLEASE do yourself a BIG Favor & call another company. They OVERCHARGE more than ANY company I have dealt with. They carry around a book with their rates which is all bogus..... They will charge you $350 to fix a toilet $800 to change a valve They are the WORST!!!!!!!!! They actually rob you of your money for MINOR REPAIRS. PLEASE LOOK SOMEPLACE ELSE. THERE ARE SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! more

I had a good experience with plumbing service provided by ABC. Both my ""normal"" sump pump and my battery back up pump appeared to be burned out when I came home at 7:00 PM. After reviewing the problem and determining that I needed ""help"", I called ABC. I called after hours, they returned my call with a plumbing technician, he came to my house, completed the job, and was on his way. The whole process was ~ 4 hours. Mike G. was my plumbing technician and I felt very comfortable with him - both professionally and personally. He gave me my options and walked through them with honesty. I will call for Mike G. from ABC the next time I have a plumbing issue. more

I had a positive experience using ABC to solve my electrical wiring problem. Mike diagnosed the problem quickly and was able to set up an immediate appointment to rewire my breaker box. He was prompt, courteous, and neat. He made a number of useful suggestions on how to rewire existing circuits to better balance loads. The work was completed quickly and unobtrusively. I would use this service again. more

I called them and described my problem, they set up a time frame for a technician to come to my home. They called me at 7:30 am on the morning they were supposed to provide service to inform me that I was ""not in their service area"". It took them 24 hours to figure out I was not in their service area? more

Beware - We had a HORRIBLE experience!!!!!!! 8/29/2011

I called ABC out to look at our water heater. They fixed it in 10 minutes but charged $298 - he couldn't explain their pricing. The next day it broke again - and they came back out - this time they charged nearly $500 and then told us it couldnt be repaired - they said it needed a new water heater for $3500 (ours is 2 years old) and the only way the $800 we had already paid would be refunded was if we bought the water heater with them. They left us with that - and no heating - Thankfully we got another plumber to look at it - he fixed it and charged $110!!!!!! When we checked them out - we found all their positive reviews are fake(they pay companies to write reviews - each reviewer has over 300 reviews to their name!!) and only when we threatened them with making this public AND to report them to better business bureau did they refund the $800. Please be cautious with this company - it makes me ill to think they are preying on older/vulnerable people!! more

They were great during several visits to my house. I had an emergency plumbing issue and the tech was very calming and professional. He laid out all of my options and educated me on them. When he was done he took extra time to explain what he did and arranged for follow up service. I was extremely happy with the service – nothing short of outstanding. more
