I am a student at Texas State, I had my 2001 Honda Accord towed into Aamco in San Marcos. I had a complete rebuild done, and I got a lifetime warranty that is good for the rest of the time I own my car. Nobody else I called had a warranty that good. VERY clean and professional shop. And i forgot to mention the warranty is good at any Aamco so I don't have to worry when I go home to Florida this summer. Thanks AAmco more

Letting everyone know that the new Aamco in New Braunfels will be opening it's doors soon, and it is under new ownership. It is also under new management, and this guy knows everything about cars. He is very personable and is passionate about cars and customers. His goal is to make everyone happy and run a family friendly enviroment. What happened to me was the EXACT same thing that happened to the earlier reviewer. They took my car in for a "free" diagnostic and held it hostage until I paid them $600 in CASH. They would not accept credit cards for this fee. I have heard from other complaint sites online that AAMCO does this so you cannot dispute the charge with your credit card company. A friend of mine who owns a business in Buda just saw in a local newsletter that AAMCO San Marcos had its BB membership revoked due to "several unanswered complaints." The owner of this business (I can't give his name because the CitySearch rules don't allow it) also owns an AAMCO in New Braunfels that has complaints all over the internet against it. These guys are known by the locals to be cheats but I did not find that out until after I took my car in to them to get the transmission repaired. I got an estimate of around $1500 from them and after they got started they called back to tell me it would be $2600. I tod them not to do the repair and had to pay $600 to get my car back. But that was cheap compared to what they were going to charge me. I took it to a good reputable mechanic down the street and he fixed it for $400. It has worked fine since. The transmission did not need to be rebuilt. How sad to make your living cheating other people. more
