The check engine light came on in my 98 Integra last year (2007). My catalytic converter went bad. I spent about $600 to get it replaced in July 2007. The light came back on in November, only 4 months later! I brought it back to get it fixed under warranty, but they said it probably wont be covered under the warranty because it wasnt the original motor (but it was the exact same kind). I brought it back in May 2008 and they said the car was running rich and I needed a new catalytic converter again. Then I ordered one online, and received the wrong part. So Gus recommended getting an o2 simulator to trick the computer and it would allow me to pass emissions. I ordered that part and when I took it in he said its the 2nd o2 sensor and the o2 simulator wouldnt help me. And when I picked up the car, the battery was dead and the car wouldnt start (I had no problems starting it to drive it there). They denied draining the battery. So I bought one and installed it.
