I bought a bed from Santa Barbara Mattress and a month later, I bought another mattress from them because I received such great service. I love their store because it doesn't feel like a mass produced mattress shop and I got really great, personalized service from one of their co-owners. She went out of her way to make sure I was satisfied and it made the experience memorable. I also like their 30 day return policy and they took back one of my mattresses when they delivered the new one. Overall this is the best mattress store I've been to and would encourage others to check them out. more

I learned about Santa Barbara Mattress from a flyer in the mail. At the store I tried out a lot of mattresses and selected the most popular mattress on the advice of the salesperson. Well, when I got the mattress it wasn't firm enough for me. They have a 5 day policy for returns and as a result I am unable to return my mattress. The people are friendly, I'm just not satisfied with the product. There are a few Santa Barbara mattress stores and sometimes customers mistake them, We have a 30 day sleep trial exchange policy and have been servicing Santa Barbara county for almost 30 years. We really like the mattresses that we got from the guys over at Spencer's Mattress. The whole process of picking out the mattresses and getting them delivered was so simple and easy which was very nice for us. The mattresses are incredibly comfortable and everything with them has worked out since we bought them. What I really like about Santa Barbara Mattress is that they are very convenient. I was recommended them by a friend and I went in needing a mattress delivered that same day. The sales lady was very friendly and helpful. She had the mattress in stock and after I paid and had everything set up, they had the mattress delivered in less than an hour. What I really liked about going into Spencer's Mattress was that it was a very quiet and not stressful atmosphere. The sales person was very helpful and put absolutely zero pressure on me which was really refreshing. They had what I needed which is always a plus. We recently got a new mattress and box spring from the people over at Santa Barbara Mattress and it was a pleasant experience overall. The sales people were very nice and helpful, and it was really cool to see their wide selection to choose from. They gave good suggestions based on the information we gave them and we picked out a mattress that we love now. My only complaint is that all their bed frames are ridiculously expensive so we ended up getting ours elsewhere. It just would have been great to get everything at one place but that price was a little prohibitive because I knew I could find it significantly cheaper elsewhere. Other than that though it was a really pleasant experience and we really do love our mattress! more

We bought a box spring from Santa Barbara Mattress awhile ago and everything was good. We went to their store and their sales people weer friendly and really helped us out. They have a wide selection and we found the right box spring for our room. We took it home that day in our pick-up truck and we've been very satisfied with it. My wife and I have been living in Santa Barbara for over 40 years and we had never been to Spencer's Mattress before. We had been going to a more traditional mattress shop, but we needed an adjustable bed so we decided to visit Spencer's. We went multiple times before making a purchase and each time, their sales people let us try many different types of mattresses out and educated us about what each one does, I'm an engineer so this stuff really interests me. The owner and his wife were extremely helpful and you could tell they were passionate about serving their customers. We prefer a mattress that has slightly firm springs and they showed us a mattress that had a special set of frames that provided more support for the back, which I needed. As we were talking, I let them know that I designed a special box spring that the mattress would fit on and they were interested in taking a look at it to maybe manufacture in their store, so we were able to talk about mattresses and the designs for a long time, which I really enjoyed. We finally purchased our mattress and they delivered it before we were going out of town. We were gone for a few weeks but we couldn't wait to return home to sleep on our new mattress. We love our new bed and we love that we can adjust it to fit our specific needs. Spencer's Mattress is a cut or two above the rest and their knowledge and professionalism is greatly appreciated. We had a great time talking to their enthusiastic sales people and getting to try out all of their wonderful mattresses. more

I've supported local businesses for a long time and I've been buying mattresses from Santa Barbara Mattress for six years. Their prices are a little more than most mattress companies but that's because they know their stuff. Their selection is great and the people who work here are extremely knowledgeable. Santa Barbara Mattress is one of the last businesses who gives paper receipts, they're an old school business that provides you with old school service. I've bought six mattresses from them and will continue to buy from them because they're efficient and enjoyable. more

This was my first time going to Santa Barbara Mattress. I bought a mattress and a couple of pillows, which, by the way, I love my pillow. Their product knowledge was good. The product itself was expensive. The warehouse felt a little unspecial. You go in there and there are five thousand mattresses in one dirty area. Their distribution was weak. However, the sales people were courteous, professional, and thorough. I would recommend checking them out. more

I actually got 2 mattresses from Santa Barbara Mattress. They were able to immediately deliver those mattresses the next day. They have really good service with the delivery. The service is good, and the price is reasonable for the quality of the mattress. more

I had purchased from Santa Barbara Mattress before and thought they were of excellent quality and so decided to go back to them again most recently for another mattress. The salesperson there was very friendly and professional and honest with me throughout the process. He didn't try to upsell me or extend my budget but helped me get what I wanted and needed. My side sleeper pillow is one of the best pillows I have ever purchased. The comfort I feel when I hug the pillow to my body is undescribable. The pillow itself it so soft and you can chose from how much kpok and latex you want inside the pillow (ex. Low-fill, medium etc). I chose the low fill because the feel against the back of my head was the most comfortable for me but its all based on personal preference. The K-Lex pillow is a purchase you won't regret. more

The K-Lex pillow has completely altered my nightly sleep. For the past few years my neck has ached for sleeping in uncomfortable angles and I haven’t been able to awaken feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. With the K-Lex pillow I am able to sleep on my back and on my side comfortably almost immediately. I would most definitely recommend the side sleeper for anyone who has trouble sleeping through night! more
