Unbelievably disrespectful manager, they are disorganized time-wasters. Second trip to load car at facility near Phillips highway. I asked in the front office if someone was in the yard to load my car, they said yes and when I parked in the yard nobody was there. I beeped the horn and looked in all of the buildings, HELLO??? There was another person who was in line behind me at the office and he was also hunting around the yard for the loading person. I called the office and they said they tried calling, but maybe he is in the bathroom After I drove off (I had an appointment and being late because the loading guy at the SOD place was on an extended bathroom call is not a good excuse to be late) I was called back by the Manager (Chad) who told me that the loader had indeed been in the bathroom. He said you know, people do have to use the bathroom. So I am insulted by the manager on top of wasting a hour or so of my time. If being inconvenienced by A-1 SOD in fits your business model and expectations as a customer, feel free to use them. In contrast, I bought better quality SOD at Lowes (for about the same price!) and guess what? Their loader was waiting for me as I pulled the car up.\r more

I wish I saw these reviews beforehand. I had exactly the same experience. Horrible sod (I've orderd tons of this stuff so I know what it's supposed to look like). Weeks later, still trying to nurse it to health, and the sandy base makes it uneven. What's worse is that I ordered Palmetto, but they sent Floratam. I caught it when we were almost done laying it. I called them and they blew it off as not available. I told them it would have been nice to let me know that I was not getting what I ordered and paid for. They did not offer to make it right, just simply said "sorry, our mistake". I had to fight with them, but in the end, got nothing since I paid up front. Pros: They said sorry Cons: Poor product, worse customer service. more
