I contacted the folks at A-1 some years ago when looking into a new garage door. From the initial call through to the install and maintenance visits there after I have been nothing but totally impressed with the professionalism, quality (of product and work) and friendliness that this family business embodies. They are old-school all the way. What I mean by that is to expect to be treated as if you lived in a small town and you know these folks from your church (even if you're not the church-going type, I'm sure you get the point). Rob is truly an artist in what he does. We have had many, many contractors working on our house (very good ones) and none has come close to Rob's level of efficiency and the most organized and clean job-site I have ever witnessed. more

You're not going to find a better operation in this town. 11/27/2013

A-1 Overhead Door Co. replaced a part of a motor, a side mount, and a garage opener that the original people who put it in couldn't seem to fix or help us with. Not only was A-1 able to do it, they got most of it done under warranty and the rest at a reasonable cost. They were excellent. I called them out of the phone book. I was trying to find somebody who might be able to help me and they were close to my house. So it was mostly a completely random choice. They were professional and excellent. more

Exceeds Expectaions 10/30/2013

Hello, My experience was top notch, and it didn't surprise me that A! is Diamond certified. I called for a repair that was done expertly. and quickly. I inquired about an overall check and the technician offered me a door service for a reasonable price. When he finished, the door was working better than it ever had before. I recommend this company to anyone having garage door issues. It is not often that a repair call can make someone feel like they got more than their money's worth. Did I mention that the technician was polite and courteous as well as knowledgeable? I should have! The price was well within reason too! more

A-1 Overhead Door was not only professional, knowledgeable, accommodating and customer-focused, but their pricing was competitive with the big box stores. They offer big box-store variety with “Mom & Pop” service! In a world where customer service is a dying species, you find it is alive and well at A-1 Overhead Door! more

A-1 Overhead Door installed a new door for us with some new framing and they were extremely professional and were a high value organization for the investment. They arrived on time, did what they said they would and exceeded our expectations. Their follow up service is excellent, the pricing is inline with their competitors and we were extremely happy. more

Very nice and helpful 5/18/2013

Our family wanted to get a garage door for our niece and her husband as a gift so I had to make multiple phone calls! They were so helpful and nice. It worked out great! My niece and her husband are so pleased!!! Thank you! more

You know, A-1 Overhead Door were just very prompt to respond to my initial call. They had someone out within a one and a half days to do the measuring, and the ordering actually went quicker than they told me to begin with. They were very prompt. more

Good job. 10/10/2012

A-1 Overhead Door Co. did a very good job. I needed three new garage doors, so I contacted them, and Claire did a really good job. We couldn't find anything in the standard group that we liked, so they put something together that was cheaper than the high-end and a little more than the low-end, which made me comfortable moving ahead. They came out and put the doors in, and despite a couple of delays with the people, it didn't prevent a good finished product. more

Great quality work. 9/27/2012

A-1 Overhead Door Co. is very, very professional, very thorough on their clean-up, and also proud of their work. It was a very good experience and they did great workmanship. That's how they advertise in the Yellow Pages and that's why I called them. Claire warned me that they might be more expensive, but that it was because they did real quality work, and I was OK with paying a little more to get great craftsmanship. I have already referred their company name to at least 2 other people based on my experience with them. They gave me quality work, and that's how it works best. Don Goldman more

Great working with a family owned business. 8/16/2012

In general, they are wonderful. Claire is wonderful to deal with, and her son is great too. There was just a small lack of communication this time. I had called back and given them the go-ahead, but they never got the message, so the order was delayed a couple weeks. It wasn't a big deal, though. I have used them a couple times for garage door installations, and they are great with following up. more

They know their stuff 8/14/2012

A-1 Overhead Door co. know their stuff. They had a lot of options and I left things open ended, Claire gave me some suggestions and narrowed it down. They did the inspection and concluded what would be best, Claire gave me the proposal and we scheduled the job. The work seems fine, I checked out the doors for a while but I haven't been using them too much since I haven't been home. They did what I needed, it worked and there was no wasted effort. more

Honest and Fair 7/1/2010

Thank you A-1 for reimbursing us for your services that should have been under warranty. We were surprised at the fact that you voluntarily sent us a refund check for the bill we paid. That's definitely going ""above and beyond"". We greatly appreciate your fairness and will definitely call you again for garage door service. more

Garage Door Repair 10/18/2006

I would highly recommend this company. First of all, they answer their phone when you call unlike other companies. They were polite and prompt in scheduling their service. I was going to get a whole new motor but the service person said that he could repair it at half the price of what a new motor would cost. He also adjusted the door so it would not strain the gears.\r I am sold on A-1 Overhead Doors! more
