Bad: They took 10 weeks. My car wasn't fixed when they returned it. They were VERY rude. Bob is a lead role in the company and he told us that he didn't know what a car is supposed to sound like.. more

After Returning to pick up my car for the second time, the car still was not repaired (my engineer friend noticed the major engine problem). The manager 'Bob' was rude to me and the friend who gave me a ride there. Bob Insisted that the problem with the car (this time) was not due to work by his shop, but by work done by a shop he has sent the car to!!!! He therefore insisted that I take the car back to the shop he had taken the car to and have the work coordinated myself. That shop said that the car was not save to drive without repairs..... something doesn't add up - either he lied to me, or they were completely unable to safely and responsibly repair my car. I am just lucky that my friend was able to notice the problem - else I would have been stranded somewhere in the winter. more

After suffering my third car accident in three years, I went to A-1 Carstar because they were convenient to my place of employment. What a mistake! They took a very long time to fix my car and then were very dishonest with me. My rear window was somehow broken in their garage. They replaced it (without telling me) and I figured it out afterward as I began finding tiny pieces of glass all over the back of my car. I was furious that they were not only dishonest, but also failed to clean up afterward! I complained and received no apology or recourse. They had no reason to be dishonest with me, but I would stay away from any place that would be dishonest. more
