Terrible service. We took my daughter, 7 years of age, who was excited about obtaining her first pet. She wanted a glow fish. We were given bad advice which we followed to the letter and ended up with 2 dead fish and a too small tank for what we wanted. Sadly I have to suggest a big box store instead. If your fish die at least you paid 1/2 the price.\r more

Good shop to visit. 2/20/2012

I've been visiting this little shop ever since I was little, and it was always one of my favorites. Most of the time I'd just go to look at all the fish and dream about having some of those fish. They have a wide variety. I'd say that my favorite fish to buy there are clown knifefish, clown triggerfish, and piranhas. They used to have a really big clown knifefish (like 15-20 inches long or something like that) and had a special tank just for it, they had it for a really long time (like 10 years or something) but it died eventually and they mounted it, I don't know if the mount is still there or not, but I know it used to be. I want a clown knifefish really bad, last time they went there they had a few and I hope to get one someday soon. A lot of their fish aren't just little baby fish either, most are grown out and big. This shop is the main reason why I came to like having pet fish. They have really big fish tanks too that they offer for sale, places like petco don't even offer big tanks like they do. Also, it seems that every time I buy fish from Petco they are just covered in iche and or they just don't even last a week or 2. I can tell just by looking at the fish from World of Fish, that they're very healthy, well maintained and happy fish. All the fish I've ever bought from World of Fish lasted a long time, the only reason why they may have died is if some unfortunate thing like the pump to the filter quit working and fish didn't make it or something like that. They also don't just have fish, they've been known to have things like lizards, crabs and salamanders, but last time I went there recently (few weeks ago) they also now have snakes, not a lot but a few varieties, mostly different kinds of corn snakes, but they had an albino lavender kingsnake, rainbow boa, and blizzard corn snake, those are some rare varieties of snakes that not a lot of places around Minnesota have to offer. And these aren't just baby snakes either like what petco sells. These snakes are more grown out, I'd say adult or close to adult sized. That's really cool because in the past few years I've also become very into snakes and have had trouble finding any good ones. The things I like are usually very hard to find. I hope when I get around to it I'll buy some snakes from there, they're definitely better then petco as far as having these animals. I hope they'll get into ball python morphs too, cause morphs are hard to find especially around here. I absolutely love this shop, if I was ever given the opportunity I'd want to have a shop of my own just like this. I just love it. In my opinion just going there and looking at the stuff is worth the stop. more
