I've been going to Tamara for all things hair for many years, even after moving 30 miles away! I won't even consider anyone else. Her Salon has a great vibe, and she always somehow knows exactly what I want to do with my hair. I always get exactly what I hope for and usually more. I had to write a review for EVELISE because she is FABULOUS!!! She makes you feel comfortable right from the start! Really listening to what your needs are and what ""look"" you are going for! I don't think I've met anyone else like her where you feel like she's part of your family within 10 minutes of talking to her! She's ALWAYS smiiling and laughing! Which is SOOO REFRESHING!!! ESPECIALLY in LA where sooo many people think they are too cool to be friendly and let their ""hair down"" (pun intended)! ; ) Another thing that's WONDERFUL about Evelise is that she is a stylist AND a colorist! She's the Hair Fairy! Thanks for always putting a smile on my face and making me feel AMAZING!!! Better book an appointment with her now while you can! Because her schedule fills up quickly! more

Exceptional, Classy, and Professional!!! 10/27/2010

I was in town last week visiting family and friends and decided to accompany a friend of mine to get her hair done. I expected to be there for an entire life time waiting; however, to my surprise the young lady that was helping my friend did a timely and outstanding job. I believe they refer to her as the ""Hair Fairy"", Her real name Evelise Batiz-Figueroa. She is very professional, entertaining, friendly, and has loads of wonderful personality. I've been to salons with friends before and they have nothing on this place. Such professionalism and class! Highly recommended!! more

EVELISE ROCKS!!!!! BEST EXTENSIONS EVER 7/1/2010

Evelise is a treasure! She is a wizard with extensions, a true artist at work. She really listened to me & gave me a look I never thought I could ever have!!! She truly is a gem. Not only is she an amazing stylist, she is great fun to talk to as you go through your transformation. My hair is amazing - it looks full, healthy & you cannot tell I have extensions. Trust me, if you want a great look that will turn heads - RUN TO EVELISE!!!!!!! Pros: extensions - AMAZING more

I went in as a straggly blonde and came out a hot chocolate brunette with awesome hidden highlights that show when I move or touch my hair. Everyone at work loved it. I LOVE it. You did exactly what I asked for. Thank you! Pros: Great educated staff that keeps up with all that's new and fresh. Cons: Bit expensive. more

Lisa is back in California 10/9/2008

So glad I found her again , Lisa my stylist for 10 years moved out of state and now she is back . I am so excited , I saw her this past weekend and she did a wonderfull job . I have been floating around searching for the right stylsit and have not been happy . So glad lisa is back in town her cuts are remarkable and I love she can wax my brows too ! Thanks Lisa you always do a great job !!! I love your personality and your cuts too . P.S. I love the salon you picked it is so cute and clean !!!! best salon in Toluca lake 10/6/2008

I went to see lisa because she works sundays which is so convient for me . She did a wondeful haircut , highlights and fabulous blowdry . She even does waxing so I was able to get may eyebrows done too ! I'm so glad I found her . Since she's done my hair and brows I have receivied so many complements . I will definetly be back to Lisa . Pros: open sundays , waxing ,great parking Cons: none everything was great more

I visit this salon because Alyssa S. now works there. I have followed her to several salons because she always gives me a great cut. I have short hair and it is hard to hide mistakes, so I have learned my lesson and even though this salon is a good hour from where I live, I trek out there every few months so Alyssa can style my hair. more

I have been a client of Tammy's for many years. She always does such a great job and I'm always happy with what she does with my hair. The salon has such a great atmosphere and is so charming! When I'm there, I'm always in a good mood! As for the negative review below - it's frankly hard to believe. Everyone, from the receptionist to the stylists play a huge role in the aura and uniqueness of the salon. If you're in a bad mood and can't get over it there, then you probably won't be able to anywhere. I think that accents are hot and that the receptionist speaks very good English. Best Receptionist, Best Salon 6/12/2008

I have been going to Tamara Dahill Salon for over ten years. I love the way Tamara colors and cuts my hair. I always leave the salon feeling prettier as well as a happier person because of the kindness of Tamara as well as her staff. I have seen employees at the salon come and go through the years. I usually have mixed emotions when an employee leaves the salon because I know I will miss them, but at the same time I am happy and excited for their decision to make a change in their lives, move on to new opportunities, move to a new city, etc. Change is good and we are always in a state of flux whether we know it or not. Ok, enough philosophy from me. The main reason for my review is to herald an amazing sort-of-new addition to Tamara's staff. He is the receptionist and his name is Ingus (hope I spelled his name correctly). This particular receptionist is like a breath of fresh air. He as a great sense of humor, he works hard, he is kind and thoughtful as well as very good looking! The salon operates like clock work when he is around, and I always look forward to having him great me as I arrive for my salon appointment. THANKS TAMARA FOR A STELLAR HIRE! Rudest receptionist 6/8/2008

I have been going to Tamara dayhill for awhile now and have recently had to reconsider. I love my hairstylist but it is extremely hard to make appointments. The male receptionist is so quick with you every time you call. He has never been helpful with me making appointments with Tammy. He is so rude not to mention that you can not understand anything he is saying. The first couple of times that I realized he was rude I had told my stylist but he had remained the same. On my last visit When I called to make my appointment, His response was ""she is not working today, She will only squeeze you in if she wants to. You need to speak with her"" All spoken in broken english. In my wait to respond the phone was hung up. After I called again a few days later and got the girl receptionist I was able to book an appointment. After I came in and after my hair was done, I had to go to him to pay. When I handed him my card he rudely said ""How much are you going to tip?"" after I told him how much he rolled his eyes and said ""only 20"" I was so upset!! I will never set foot in that salon again!! He is an awful person to have to deal with your customers. Message to Salon owner: Expect to indirectly lose many more people from the way he deals with your customers. He is a horrible representative of such a classy salon! I have been going to Tamara Dahill salon for almost 5 years. My hairstylist moved to another location from Tamara Dahill and it was too far for me. After making a mistake to move to another salon near me in Burbank (La Bella Studio) where my hair was ruined after my 2nd visit, I thought I would never find a good hairstylist to do my hair right. I came back to Tamara?s salon and was booked with Maggie. What an amazing job she has done with my hair! First time she was able to fix the previous job and now every time I come to her, my hair looks better and better. The highlights she is doing are amazing. A great hair stylist 3/5/2008

I have been going to Tamara Dahill Salon for almost 7 years now. I have never completely trusted anyone to do my hair until I met Nikki Brown years ago. I don't even have to say what I want, I trust her with my hair implicitly. She knows exactly what she is doing and it shows, true talent finally! Not to mention a great and friendly person to converse with, always very optimistic. I don't have to pretend to be all involved in my magazine to avoid conversation when Im getting my hair done, like I had to with every past salon. She's a very talented, professional young woman..
