This place is a little like a black hole, if you bring your shoes inside you might not get them back out for a while. I dropped a pair off for a heel repair and had to pay up fron...

QUIRKEY with QUALITY &ACCOMMODATING 12/11/2009

even though I have wayy too many shoes, I was in a real bind.... I needed A pair of shoes shined and a heels on my favorite Pradas for a wedding the next day. No other shops in the area were even willing to consider it in the 'busy season' I was told. These guys at shoe-a-new were obviously swamped. I mean , like , there were hundreds of shoes in various stages of repair. Even though they were obvuously slammed with work and scheduling incoming work for 5 - 10 days, They assured me they could 'rush' the job on overtime, after hours . I offered double the regular price and was told "thank you but that is more than the standard rush fee" , which I was happy to pay. I walked past the shop later that night and saw them working on my shoes at 10:30 pm. I picked the shoes up the next day. The shine made the black shoes look like new and the heels on the other pair were better than when I bought them [plus they shined them for free as well]. This Place ROCKS! I don't know when the 'elves' rest, but being accommodated like that, when I was in a real bind was so refreshing.... I will always take my leather and shoes to shoe a new from now on . there is free parking right in front, helpfull knowledgeable staff, Honest& open late [till 7pm] drag to wait in line 3 min., shop is small and a bit crowded Melody more

Paid $80 for them to botch the job, then to lose my shoes 12/17/2006

Late last year, I brought in my Oxblood-and-black Fluevog wingtips and replacement Angel soles I bought directly from Fluevog. Over a few weeks, they installed the wrong soles, conditioned the oxblood-colored leather with a substance that turned the color deep blackish-brown, and ultimately, I believe, lost my shoes altogether. This despite repeatedly giving them my phone number when they asked and coming to the store to give it to them when they didn't call back after weeks of looking for my shoes. I gave up when, several months after the repair started, I had to move out of town and misplaced my receipts. Just because they're in your neighborhood doesn't mean you should use them. more

Skilled shoe repair 9/30/2005

I entrusted them to fix my favorite pair of shoes, and I was more than pleased with the results. They did a great job fixing them, and genuinely seem to care about doing quality work. The service wasn’t overly friendly, but it was obvious they take the job seriously. The work was done before promised, and exceeded my expectations. more
