Every time I am in their neighborhood, I pop into a Second Chance, because they always have new merchandise, and what they carry is great stuff: often brand new; never worn out or dirty; I always find something I love in there, shoes or a dress or pants, or a handbag. You can not go wrong going here---it's a must on any woman's list. The owner is a doll & her staff is entirely accomodating & helpful. They really know the fashion industry and are honest about what truly looks well on you--a rarity these days. I've always been happy with everything I have purchased here. And hav ing been to other re-sale shops in the city, this is the best of all the rest. Do not miss it if you are into clothing, handbags, accessories & shoes. They carry top of the line as well as some middle of the road makers--something for everyone. more

Was wondering around Manhattan on a rainy day when I stumbled upon A Second Chance. Let me say quite the best stumble I have ever experienced!! This place is a GEM! It had absolutely anything and everything you could think of. Anything I couldn't find on my own was happily pointed out to me by the owner, who is a gem as well. This is the BEST consignment store in the city. A Second Chance not only has amazing things but affordable prices as well. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed by a friendly owner who does nothing but her best to help you. The highlight of the store is its fab. collection of bags...one of a kind to \r ""it"" bags still in stores. Also i was very impressed with the huge collection of chanel and hermes. Pros: service, variety more
